bobby b.
Obligations throughout the week resulted in having only a couple hours each day to fish caused me to put the boat in my slip on Monday and fish whenever I could each day. Fished nothing but ledge rock banks in feeder creeks which had adjacent trees. Catching was very good. The fish seemed to get bigger but with less quantity as the week progressed, still catching 10 per hour (I guess). 90% LM Until today (Saturday). This morning was all SM. Nothing over 17 inches or 3 lbs. (only weighted a couple to calibrate my eye). The beds I saw where in 8-10 fow. The rock snot was out that far as well. WT never over 60 degrees. I used a 1/8 oz Ned and TRD 99% of the time. At times I would troll down a favorable looking bank staring at FFS and would decide to fish it based on how many fish I noted. It was not as busy as I would have thought this morning, probably the cooler weather. A few pics attached. Good folks, just a lot of them. Quillback and magicwormman
Quillback
When Dutch and I fished Friday out of Cape Fair, there were a lot of boats. I think I remember catching 3 or 4 that had hook holes or scars. It's amazing that the lake still fishes decent when you consider the never ending rain of lures upon these fish. Bill Babler
I fished with a friend today in the AIA as a backup for his partner that had to work. Derby director said be careful as there’ were 12 other tournaments going out today. We ended up with 13.8. I have no idea what it took but we had a dozen keeps. Biggest was 4.12 for us Lots of wake boats as well as Jet ski’s and some big pleasure boats. So many bass boats it looked like a bee hive. crazy4fishin, dtrs5kprs, Ron Burgundy and 2 others 5 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Alex Heitman
The day to fish was Thursday. We got down there about 11 AM in the soaking rain. They were on fire. We caught over 60 and mostly SM and couple big LM. SM came on Ned gravel pockets/points. 2 LM about 5 lbs each came on mag draft on points as well. It was an awesome day. Friday about 25-30 fish but not were near the quantity. We had several SM in the 4 lb range and my dad lost a giant probably over 5 right at the boat when he jumped 3 feet out of the water. It was a great few days with my dad. bobby b., m&m, vernon and 7 others
