I got a sheet of this i think it was 36"x8' from amazon for $57.  ITs a little rough around the edges, the stuff is difficult to cut straight. Rounded the corners with a sander.  We will see if it holds up.  Just need some new seats now and carpet on the decks

Are you going to have them redone or get new?  When I had my Champion I had LleBroc make me some seats.

I hate to be the bearer of slightly bad news, but it will only last about 2 years on the average boat. 3-4 if you can keep it out of the sun.

I'm not sure what they do to the "good stuff" but it doesn't seem to deteriorate with UV exposure like the stuff sold on Amazon.

Hey for $57 i can replace it every two years.   ITs kinda a trial run. My boat never had carpet on the floor and it was slick as piss in the morning with the dew. I keep m boat in my shop too so it will have limited sun

I felt the same way when I did my last rig.

But what bugged me the most was that anytime I kneeled or sat on the floor I came up with knees or butt coated in the dust from the deteriorating foam.   It doesn't pressure wash away either.  You can scrub it clean today, and as soon as it dries the dust will be right back.....until eventually it looses all of its color.      Same with anything you set on the floor.    Drop a plastic worm or lizard and you immediately have a two-toned bait.

If the only thing you had to deal with being coated in a layer of foam dust was the bottom of your feet.....then it wouldn't be a thing.

You'll see.

I just picked my boat up from getting its new carpet today, I am a little biased because it is my boat but I think the shop did an amazing job. BJ Boat Rebuilders just south of Nixa was who I used and I think it looks great. I would recommend them for you to get your carpet done. Not the cheapest I found but was true to his estimate and the work is a quality job. I have a 87 Ranger 360 that is now looking pretty sharp for a 36 year old boat. The gel coat is not great but the fish don't care.
