FishnDave Posted January 22 Posted January 22 It's glazed over here in St Louis. I saw 3 vehicles fail to make it to the top of our hill. They were the only ones I saw try. 31 degrees now, at 8:38am. Supposed to reach 37 today, so hopefully it melts off soon. Terrierman 1

MrGiggles Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Even the gravel was bad this morning. Solid sheets. From what I've seen 13 has been moving along pretty well but the side roads are still bad. Tried to leave for work (post office) but decided to just stay in, not worth it. Our trucks wouldn't make it anyway. Triple mail tomorrow but better than being upside down in a ditch. It's melting off pretty quickly already, still lightly raining here off an on. At this rate I'd expect it to be mostly gone early afternoon. Terrierman 1 -Austin

I managed to get dogs out to the shop without falling and put wading boots with my corkers on to get back in the house. A person can walk more or less ok on grass, but the gravel drive is very very slippery and sidewalks are nothing but wet ice. Even the dogs can hardly get around right now. One came running up to the house to go in and slid all the way across the sidewalk, He looked embarassed. Ham and Quillback 2
