Quillback Posted March 23 Posted March 23 He's from Ava MO. Fished The Rock quite a bit from what they are saying. I don't know him at all, but I'll be rooting for him. It's a tight one on Grand for the Classic, lots of different stuff being thrown at the fish, and the fish appear to be shallow for the most part. Weather is a factor too, cold front came in overnight and looks to be pretty windy tomorrow. cheesemaster, nomolites, dpitt and 3 others 5 1

The majority of bass seem to occupy water in less than 10' of water. There should be a good jerk bait bite in the lower end going on. Quillback 1

I have watched some of the live coverage this morning and there are fish being caught on the jerker. Some cranking going on too.
willyfish Posted March 23 Posted March 23 It's definitely more enjoyable watching these techniques compared to a FFS tournament. Seeing dock cables and guys like Cherry throwing a jig behind a dock or cranking shallow rocks is better TV. Quillback 1
Quillback Posted March 23 Author Posted March 23 An old school feel to this one for sure. Huff was zeroed until 11 AM or so, but has recovered to get back in 2nd. snagged in outlet 3 1
fishinwrench Posted March 24 Posted March 24 They seem to be purposely trying to show footage of guys doing some old school fishing, but the Scopers are ruling the event. The kid that's leading has a cool personality. I'm rooting for him. He's gonna cry 😅 cheesemaster and snagged in outlet 3 2
Quillback Posted March 24 Author Posted March 24 The wind is going to make things interesting today. snagged in outlet 3, cheesemaster and grizwilson 3
Quillback Posted March 24 Author Posted March 24 Hamner is going to be tough to catch. The guys chasing him are going to need to catch some good fish to catch him now that he has an 8 lb. lead. snagged in outlet 3 1

I'll admit to one thing......I don't think I've had 3 consecutive days of crushing them BACK TO BACK anywhere.... ever. Scoping or not, that's a highly commendable thing to pull off ! 👍 Quillback, mixermarkb, cheesemaster and 1 other 4
Members whateversbiting Posted March 25 Members Posted March 25 3rd for Huff, pretty good. Tough day 3. Wonder if he tried switching things up. We took the skunk on Table Rock today, so he did a lot better than me.
