No kidding.  Back then flat tires were so common.  Not like today’s tires.

My granddad and his brothers bought a used Model T back in the early 30's.  Said they had to fix a flat every 10 miles, gravel roads and the tires back in those days still had inner tubes.

For many reasons I wish he was still alive, one reason would be to talk to him about those days.

One hot summer day in '67 or '68, I had seven flats in the same day with almost new tires, one spare and a lot of hot patches, and  hand pumping. Love that chert. 75 mile trip took several hours longer than it should have.

Yes they make the tires much better these days and in comparison to wages they are cheaper too. I don't even own a tire pump nor a patching clamp anymore.

Well I think the tires on that old peanut truck were pretty sturdy.....but still !

I'll tell you what the rear tires reminded me of......They were like the heavy lugged tires that you see on those old Willy's Jeeps, but bigger.

That old peanut truck sat on our property for YEARS.    The first set of titties I ever touched.....and the first cigarette I ever smoked, both happened while hiding out in that old truck.  😅

Man this is taking me back 😊

Remember the old Toro lawnmowers that you cranked up......then hit a button....and it started itself?  😅   (when you were lucky)

The old peanut truck was the STORAGE SHED for that POS !     😂

When I remember how PROUD I was when I was declared big enough to MOW THE YARD.......it confirms the stupidity and brainwashing that was going on in my family !  😅  Because we had a BIG FRIGGIN YARD !

If I ordered one of my kids to mow the yard..... they'd throw me in jail for child abuse!

Glyphosate- once and  done ...  might not want the kid to do it though

We had one at the nursery and I had it flipped on its side to clean it out and my brother hit the trigger and it cut the tip off my middle finger in my right hand.

I remember a two-cycle lawn boy. that thing would wind up like a banshee easy to push and light reminds me of a Wrench two cycle outboard.

So can one of y'all explain to me WHY you expect to have all these organ failures?

You expect your colon to crap out, you expect your heart to crap out, you expect your pancreas to go south, ect.ect.   So you schedule all these periodic check-ups so that if any minor imbalance is detected then it can be rectified early, right?   Before any actual symptoms are noticable?

So anybody that comes down with a health issue is themselves AUTOMATICALLY TO BLAME for not being tested sooner?   So don't expect there to be a quality physician available to help you !   It's your fault because you didn't take preventative measures!  🧐

Is that the mindset that all of you have adopted?

Not trying to be a jackass here.....So please Ronnie, Marty, ect.  don't get all up in arms here !!!!!

Just curious. 🤔

There's one organ that nobody here ever seems to suspect a problem with....but that I'm rather concerned about.    And that's your BRAIN. 😅  Let's face it....that particular organ has been fed more unhealthy crap over the past 30-some years, than all your other organs combined!

I lost my older sister and dad to cancer. I’ve also lost a lot of friends to cancer and my wife and I are getting ready to lose another friend to cancer. And, several years ago, I had some things come up and went through a lot of scans, tests, exams, colonoscopy to make sure it wasn’t the same cancer that my dad had. Once we were all comfortable that I wasn’t in danger of dying any time soon, we quit looking. No treatments. Can you believe it Wrench? They actually let me leave there without a treatment plan! According to you they should have hosed me for thousands of dollars and killed me in the process.

My other reason is that I spend a crap load on insurance. I get two yearly checkups for free. To me, it would be a waste of my money not to get some services out of it. But I also took the time to find a doctor that I really like and trust. He doesn’t come up with a lot of stupid stuff either. He just laughs and says I’m the healthiest fat guy he has ever seen.

But I guess the main reason is that I trust science and I’m not scared of doctors. That’s the two parts you are missing.
