You just don't know. it is a Eurasian collard dove. I think there are two types sold for the pet trade. So they escaped and now are breeding and just like fish, plants, insects considered invasive. Shoot European honeybees are not native. Now the collard dove is all over. They actually like to spend more time around homes and farms, feedlots too. Here in Missouri, we are supposed to include them in our bag limit. In other states you can shoot on site year around. They taste similar to the dove and a slight tougher. Once you hear the call it is easy to separate that sound from a morning dove. Took me a while to figure out what they were. Apparently somebody spilled some grain and wow had they found it. I belong to an air gun forum and out west guys get permission to control collared dove and pigeons. Those guys have some great shoots!
