jdmidwest
I would think it should interest all. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
ColdWaterFshr
Hope others follow suit. Very well written explanation of WHY they are banning it. ness
ness
I don’t follow tournament fishing at all, but now I’m a little curious which of the circuits will be impacted by this. John
nomolites
Honestly, I believe the NPFL has just done themselves a disservice….they really weren’t a major draw to begin with, and this will likely not help. I will also go out on a limb and say that the same names that did well under current rules will continue to populate the leaderboard should they fish in 2025. Time marches forward, whether we choose to or not. Mike
DADAKOTA
They will attract some of the old time big name anglers that are tired of getting beat by FFS and the younger crowd.
fishinwrench
Everyone is consumed with what it is doing/has done to competitive fishing on the professional level, but nobody is noticing what it is doing to the "sport" on the grass-roots level. It's not a SPORT anymore, it is just another GAME. And allowing it to continue is eventually going to open the door to further issues (waypoint sharing/selling, ECT.) I can't imagine anything GOOD in the future, coming from the use of FFS in competition. tjm
What "good" has come or will come from competitive fishing in any form? Terrierman

I believe it helps get information out to the masses. Whether it be about new techniques, conservation, or hardware. I really have never followed any tournaments, other than our 1 bass tournament. kjackson
I'm starting the research for an article on what FFS is doing to the tackle industry...which seems kinda strange, but it is having an effect on lure manufacturers as well as the local tackle shops.
