I don’t follow tournament fishing at all, but now I’m a little curious which of the circuits will be impacted by this.

Honestly, I believe the NPFL has just done themselves a disservice….they really weren’t a major draw to begin with, and this will likely not help.

I will also go out on a limb and say that the same names that did well under current rules will continue to populate the leaderboard should they fish in 2025.  Time marches forward, whether we choose to or not.

Everyone is consumed with what it is doing/has done to competitive fishing on the professional level, but nobody is noticing what it is doing to the "sport" on the grass-roots level.

It's not a SPORT anymore, it is just another GAME.   And allowing it to continue is eventually going to open the door to further issues (waypoint sharing/selling, ECT.)

I can't imagine anything GOOD in the future, coming from the use of FFS in competition.

What "good" has come or will come from competitive fishing in any form?

I believe it helps get information out to the masses.  Whether it be about new techniques,  conservation,  or hardware.  I really have never followed any tournaments,  other than our 1 bass tournament.
