Oh, man, do I have a story on that... involves a $7.95 Dollar Store inflatable raft, 35 feet of water, a much younger me, and the King of Cranky Ganders that convinced me that was his puddle (flogging involved).

I've already passed my keyboard quota for the day, so it'll have to wait. Carry on.

I will be waiting!

Covid.

Was flying upstream in the fog and ran into the dam.....or the cable.

Either way.... it's free fly tying material 👍

Federal Bird, can't just stop and start plucking unless it was legally taken.  Then the legal taker has to transfer it to your custody with a form with the takers info which shall remain in your possession until consumed...

Now, if buzzards are already plucking on it, they are Federal birds too.  Who will question them as what to do with the leftovers?

What is ILLEGAL about a goose dying of natural causes ?

Without anyone witnessing how the bird died, I think you'd be ok in federal court.

"The ground was littered in feathers.....I just picked them up". 🙄  Hell, the town I live in is covered with goose feathers.

It's the littering that is my biggest concern. especially the glass bottles. They will destroy waders or boots or feet. And for that the local police should be fined. If we forced every police department to pay for  clean up of all trash and litter, they would have incentive to stop it.

Trout actually taste better in my opinion.  Geese have became a nuisance in most places.

I'd take @duckydoty's goose fajitas over a trout anytime!

Next time any of you partake of the goose fajitas ask Duane where he had and was showed how to make them. He had his first taste of them at the BilletHead house. I even showed him how I made the holy wok. We shot some geese here too. Ask him also if I can hit geese and dove. Been on a dove hunt with him at a conservation area right between he and I.

Uh oh! Looks like Marty has challenged Duane to a goose fajita cookoff! Winner gets a trophy and the loser sucks.

The fact that there is goose meat in the Goose Fajita is irrelevant.   It could be an old chopped up muddy leather sandal....and it would still be delicious!  😅

I will be sure to do some substitutions to your fajita next time I make them for you next time.
