fishinwrench Posted April 28 Posted April 28 I've been asked to make an offer on this 2004 Lowe Roughneck 1760 / Yammie 50 Been stored, unused, covered, and in a barn since 2007 I don't wanna insult the dude, but obviously I'd love to get a really sweet deal on it. Clean as a whistle, not even a scratch on the hull, only needs a carb job, refreshed water pump, and maybe a hose or two. Question:; What is the most that YOU would be willing to offer ? I'd really love to make a sweet Flyfishing rig out of it ! ❤️ BilletHead and snagged in outlet 3 2
snagged in outlet 3 Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Dang that is clean! Great size too! nomolites and fishinwrench 2
jdmidwest Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Longshaft. Goofy little console and no real seating. All sets too far back, how does it plane? Probably need to run it and see how it rides. Assume open deck with all the ribs, no flooring. $3500 "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson

You're goofy ! 😅 All you need a console for is to hold a steering wheel, and a place to mount a depth finder ! She's a blank canvas ! I would love to get it for 3500.00 but I don't wanna insult the guy. The motor alone is worth more than that.
fishinwrench Posted April 28 Author Posted April 28 @Phil Lilley you've bought & sold a few of them..... What's it worth ?
kjackson Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Since I'm actively in the same buying market, I'd say $5K... it's not what I'm looking for, but it's a fair price. snagged in outlet 3, nomolites and fishinwrench 2 1
MrGiggles Posted April 29 Posted April 29 I'd agree with $5k. I'd venture to guess it would take a good long while to get that though. It is still just a jon boat, no seating, no storage, no livewells, no electronics. I'd say it'd be perfect for the avid catfisher or duck hunter. snagged in outlet 3 and fishinwrench 1 1 -Austin
fishinwrench Posted April 29 Author Posted April 29 Yeah 5k seems reasonable. There might be a duck hunter out there with deeper pockets, but considering that I want to turn it into a fishing boat.....which will cost an additional 2.5k...... I'll bounce 4k off him and forgive the 713.00 bill that I've got invested in it thus far. 👍 Daryk Campbell Sr, dan hufferd, snagged in outlet 3 and 3 others 6
dan hufferd Posted May 2 Posted May 2 That might make a sweet little jet for the river, (you would have to build a transom) I sure like that gen of yamaha, I had skeeter with one of those it ran flawlessly. fishinwrench 1
jdmidwest Posted May 3 Posted May 3 A little short shaft 25 hp Mercury 4 Stroke would only take a 1" aluminum tube spacer between top of transom and mount to plane well I am guessing. Then he would have a jet boat. Sell the yammy to pay for it all.... "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
