Just wanted to point out something.  The area was supposed to get up to 7 inches of rain last weekend.  I believe it fell short although Springfield/James River got almost that much.  Table Rock is up to 925 feet.  If we'd gotten what was forecasted, TR would be much higher I think.  So much so we might be looking at another 2015 event.  With the 7 inches forecasted, I didn't think it would get there but I was wrong.  Although TR was at power pool - below 917, one rain could put us all in a bad situation.  May be they should think about a lower power pool, esp in the spring.

I agree.  The storms just kept missing the main basin.  Luckily!   920 puts water at the edge of our boat yard.  Right now the yard is gone.
When they start generating, how long does it take to get to your place, @Phil Lilley?

Remember when you wanted the rivers to flood so you could get the gates open?

You’re welcome.

We like them open.  We don't like to be flooded.  They can open gates without flooding.

Doesn't take long.  It'll start moving may be 20 minutes?

Newport Gauge is showing around 19 feet right now.

Graphs for current conditions - White River at Newport, AR - USGS Water Data for the Nation

According to this document, the Corps should regulate to 12 feet from May 8 to November 30 unless the 4 lake system exceeds 70% of flood capacity, then they can regulate to 14 feet.  Since the gauge is at 19 feet now, that's probably why they are not releasing water.  This is my interpretation of the tea leaves which may be wrong.

White River Master Manual

It’s up to 25.5’ today.   Here’s what happens when you don’t listen to the warnings.   This guy left his boat on the trailer in our boat yard.   That was 2 days ago.  I think it flooded today.
