Quillback Posted September 9 Posted September 9 I used to be OK with peanuts, I could eat them, but would not go out of my way to get them. Lately I have become addicted to the roasted ones in the shell. Can't stop eating them until the bag is empty.   snagged in outlet 3, Johnsfolly, rps and 5 others 8

Enough that just like sunflower seeds I'm not happy until the bag is empty. Sunflower seeds especially on road trips. All you need is a cold soda or iced tea and an extra cup to spit the seeds. DADAKOTA, rps and Quillback 3 "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo   If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh   " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh      "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!" snagged in outlet 3 Posted September 10 Posted September 10 The farm down the road sells home grown roasted peanuts from their sister farm in GA.  I can’t stop eating the Cajun ones.  She’ll be out soon and I’ll have to quit till next year.  nomolites 1

The only problem is they're loaded with salt and wear down your teeth 😀 BilletHead 1 John
jdmidwest Posted September 10 Posted September 10 We grew peanuts one summer in the garden as a kid, roasted them in the oven after marinating in a salt bath. Tasty. Another local farmer grew them on a larger scale and supplied my Grandpa's little General Store. They were good also. A local orchard and produce store had the bulk ones that I really liked. Cajun and regular salted. Never knew where they got them and when they retired, they have been gone forever. Those Cajun ones are hard to find. snagged in outlet 3 1 "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. ness Posted September 10 Posted September 10 Driving the backroads through Florida years back I remember the roadside boiled peanut stands. All kinds of flavors, and many were pretty good. Pronounced 'bowled' peanuts. dblades 1 John
ollie Posted September 10 Posted September 10 Love me some peanuts! I like the Costco brand the best though. Crunchy and salty! Bad for me I'm sure. snagged in outlet 3 and Quillback 2 "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!
Quillback Posted September 10 Author Posted September 10 Never have eaten boiled peanuts, it doesn't sound good, but if I ever see any, I'll have to try them.
