    Back home, there is stuff still going on down there I'm sure. Didn't plan on staying all day anyway. We were there about three hours. I thought there were a lot of people there last year but more this time plus more competing in the cook-off. There are all kinds of interesting folks there. Very talkative and strangers wanting to visit. Plenty of dishes to taste. Stuff for kids to do. Air rifle shooting, playground and stuff to do inside. Law enforcement were there visiting with young and old alike. Umarex air rifles with lots of people asking questions. A easy up with pack goats. And a couple talking about that. Yes pack goats are a thing. I had some books on it and thirty years ago I almost went that way for trips bowhunting out west but ended up with a horse instead. I can tell you pack goats would of been safer and much more easy to take care of. Cheaper too. 

 

   Now to something funny .

We were there early. I wanted to make sure we got a cookbook, this years t shirt and a beer from a local brewery. As we gathered items we made it to the brewery tent. Got in line. 9:15. Asked the lady for a six pack which I was going to take to the truck. She said not selling six packs. Ok we will take two. She said two is the limit per legal buyer. I didn't think about it. She got two out and immediately opened one. I said we just wanted a couple to take home. Oh no this is how it is. We are limited to selling for immediate drinking. Can't take off the property. . Well then too late and paid for we are not classified as morning drinkers at least one time. Others were. We grabbed a couple squirrel street tacos that were great. The beer? Good actually. Good enough we visited the brewery on the way through town and bought a six pack that will last us a month 😆.

                 Go after the brewery I google the best way out of there and get back to I-49 and home. It pops up a set of directions and we head that way. Not very far we get into heavy traffic that ends up in a dead standstill. In the distance at an intersection, we see motorcycles turning a corner. Two lanes wide and when we can see in the distance motorcycle headlights as far as we can see. Slowly we move a bit and a bit more until we have a good look at the bikers. Everyone on the bikes were women riding single and double. Closer we get to see they are ladies of every size and every color on these bikes and trikes. Tiny to overflowing off the sides of the bikes. Then we get to looking at the garb they were wearing. Full leather from head to toe to dresses and tootoos. Cinderellas and devils' Full facemasks and the hair doo's would crack you up. From bald heads to long flowing hair of all colors. Pigtails to spikes and goat horns and they still were coming. I would say three miles of women bikers. Durning this in the distance you could see smoke like in tires burning. First thought was a car on fire. Then three police bikes came by heading away from the smoke full speed between us all going west and the bikers going east. High speed like in a flash. What happened behind us I have no idea, but it was bad. @Quillback this is in your neck of the woods watch the local news and let us know please. Still black smoke ahead of us as we were still creeping along. We drove by motorcycle dealerships. Honda, Suzuki, Indian/triumph and lastly Harley Davidson. All the girls were saluting and waving at the people at the dealerships. As we again were creeping Pat googled up and got this,

              We could now see fire trucks responding to the fire and the smoke was getting less. When we go to the place of the incident on the road was burned out shell of a big bike burned to a crisp. Crazy. At that intersection we turned North and away from the parade of bikes. Smooth sailing the rest of the way home.

Yikes - I have ever heard of this women's bike deal.  Coming back from Table Rock Friday I saw a lot of bikes on the road, I thought it might be Bikes, Blues and BBQ time, but that is not until Oct. 1.  Normal traffic around here is bad enough but throw in a bunch of bikes and an accident and it's going to create issues.  @BilletHead

Sirens going off, cops, and ambulances ripping up and down the road non-stop.  Dead & dying deer all over the roads.

                    It was well organized really. There were roadblocks set up by the police for this parade of bikers. Yes, a pain to the normal traffic flow and in the case of an emergency it would become a nightmare for first responders. I do get somewhat apprehensive and mild road rage because of aggressive and not so smart drivers but this was just an inconvenience deal to deal with. Famous saying from Spock I found this fascinating.
