I would like to take my 35 year old daughter on a day trip on one of the Ozark streams. I have been dealing with some health issues but looks like I’ve turned the corner (hopefully). She does not swim and has never been in a kayak. I have kayaked several but suspect she would be more comfortable in a larger (than a kayak) boat.  There is nothing like the beauty and solitude found on an Ozark stream. I want her to have that experience. Catching a few smallies would be bonus. I know there used to be a member of this forum who offered guided drift boat trips. Hopefully he sees this post and responds. Anyone else have any ideas?

Brian Wise has (had) a drift boat and did guide trips, but I haven't heard from him in quite a while. His website is deactivated so he may have moved on to other things.

I'll sniff around and see if I can contact him and/or get some ideas.

Hopefully someone can help because it sounds like a great plan in the making.

You guys can get what you want from these two organizations.   Ryan Walker is in SW Mo and the other focuses on the Meramec and Gasconade.

The "Ozark Smallmouth Alliance" likely refers to the

Missouri Smallmouth Alliance (MSA), a non-profit organization focused on conserving and improving smallmouth bass fishing in Missouri's Ozark streams. While there is a separate, related organization or guide service led by Ryan Walker called Ozark Smallmouth Alliance Guides and Outfitters that focuses on guiding trips and promotion, the core

Ryan is out of SWMO. He lives in Billings and fishes the James and others around there.

Ryan is a great guide. I have fished with him multiple times for stories and for fun. Highly recommend him. He would put you and your daughter onto them and have a great time doing so.

Another is Michael Collins of Misty Mountain Guiding Service. He fishes out of a River Rat like Ryan.  I have not fished with him, but I know him, and he is a great dude.

If you don't want to do a drift boat, Billy Smith of Eminence is A+. He has a jet boat and fishes the Current, Black and Jacks Fork. I have fished with and known Billy for years. He is just an awesome person.

Hope that helps!

I highly suggest Justin Spencer, he guides exclusively on the 11pt and is good with beginner fishermen.  you can find him on facebook or I can give you his number.

everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
