     Last Wednesday we went over for a while.  First of all, I want you all to know that being a flat bottom boat owner and, in a minority, I am glad to be classified that way. this was a last-minute decision and not planned. Hey, let's go and do some C&R. We loaded up and drove to the location. East Wind again. Not having electronics like live scope, it was move around with the hand-controlled trolling motor and cast here and there until we found fish. Like in the old days. I'm not anti on live scope I just cannot justify it right now. We found some fish and proceeded to pound them pretty hard. Fan casting a sloping previous pond bank. You see this was a nice old pond that was converted to an irrigation lake. At one time when low a scraper and dozer was brought in and it was lengthened as deep as they could go creating some bigger flatter areas around the pervious pond. If that doesn't answer, ask a question. Throwing flies, we caught some rather nice largemouth. Weighed the bigger ones. those included a 3lb, three 4lb and a 4.5 lb. Nice big crappie and many bluegills. We clicked our clickers when remembering to do it. 15 each totaling 30 maybe more. It was fast and furious with lots of laughing. That day it was what we call pond therapy. Here are some pictures. Note the one fish next to the only measuring device we had in the boat. This bass was pushing 20 inches It is marked as an 18-inch rule. Zoom in and guess the size. All were fat and healthy. Found the fish from three to five foot deep. Floating line with a nine-foot tapered leader. 8lb tippet. slow constant strip started as soon as the grinch bug hit the water. The fly is only 1 1/2 to 2 inches long.

That's a great seat bracket.   I racked my brain trying to come up with something to do a similar function.   I ended up extending my deck (in progress) and getting spider chairs.  Once the weather breaks im going to carpet it and I'll add pics.

Yea @Daryk Campbell Sr those are pretty handy. A guy that has a welding shop made those for me. I showed him the seat swivel I had on a couple plastic folding seats. I wanted the brackets to fit snugly over the seats. He came up with these. Aluminum. This spring I put a post receiver like that is in my other two boats. I bought a couple of melimiun seats two years back. Now I have one set of seats that go into my three tin boats. Win times three.  The brackets pull off easily but tight enough they won't move driving down to the road.

    Yes we fly fish within four feet of each other and only manage to hit each other maybe one or two times a trip.😝

The Lowrance Eagle eye 9 system is an affordable option that gets the job done.   I'm on the verge of pulling the trigger on it for my flyfishing boat.

While I don’t have a fancy aluminum frame, I have the same seat for my canoe. I freaking love that thing! Very comfy for my fatass. And it releases easy with nothing sticking out so I can still haul it upside down.

       Great seats for sure. I have the bass pro knock off seat that fits their kayaks. I modified that to fit my Kayak. It is the bomb!

@Flysmallie,

  Here is the bass pro seat I cut the right and left ends off the seat bracket so it would fit in my kayak. Pretty cushy and comfortable. Beats the heck out of what was called a high seat that was recommended for our craft. I still need to convince Pat to get one for her kayak.
