Back in the day, Bass Pro had Zoom at 50% off. I may have bought a bunch of soft plastic that day. That was worth getting up for, IMO.
In general, I don’t participate. TBH, I’m 2 plus hours away from anywhere that has lots of shopping options so it’s kind of a non starter for me.
Even a pretty spartan garage made boat will do the job. So it starts to be individual preference. Supreme used to be the Gold Standard with Shawnee favored by some.
It was my intention to replace my Supreme with a top of the line Top Water AND I would have if I had stayed with a fiberglass boat. I opted to go with a metal boat because of my desire to use it some bumpier places than the White River.
Not Great. Generally, you get beat up by waves and blown around by the wind. The trout boats are a specialized tool. ; You can drive a small nail with a screw driver, but a hammer works a lot better.
Having seen them in at least 4 locations from just below Gaston’s all the way down to Cartney and in sizes ranging from 4 to 10 inches makes me believe they are established.
I am not the least bit concerned about them becoming over populated. I think the Brown Trout will keep them in check.
Lol, looks like John missed Yellow Bass, again.
Here’s a better warmouth pic.
I guess I feel like there are more species because I am layering Saturday’s fish on top on the Texas Tour.
