  1. I think they are a neat product. I like the name and they way they were named and produced. Good job.
  2. Good idea.... 👍
  3. I haven't caught a drum in many years. The ones I caught were in the Mississippi River downtown St Louis. They would hit pretty hard, fight for about 3 seconds, and it was over. Might as well be reeling in a plastic bag.
  4. I was curious if either one was a member. I'm following their journey. Very good camera they have.
  5. Wow, I didn't see anyone fishing it when we were there. Family trip, and I usually don't even try to fish then. Cool looking fish.
  6. Very sorry to hear this Oneshot. Positive vibes and thoughts for you and family.
  7. I've read many times that a source of water, such as a pie plate (or multiple), bowls/Buckets etc. will help keep them from demolishing tomato gardens.
  8. The article speaks about how overrated certain types of fishing are, yet below it are an overly outrageously expensive chest pack and a Benchmade knife for $130.00. Seems kinda off-putting to me. That being said, I cannot disagree with the article.
  9. I seen alot of those small ones floating, usually was an indication of recent stocking. I haven't been fishing there since I was a teenager. I really dont know the health of the lake, or the status. That may have been the legend of the lake. And all I got was a guick glimpse of him along with a story of the one that got away. I was surprised to see a "new" dock and level sidewalks. It just may be another 25ish years till I make it back. Hopefully not, but I have a lot I want to see and do.
  10. Awesome pictures, sorry you all had to turn back but glad you're OK. Skybpomd looks amazing. I always pictured the trails to be much more rugged.
  11. I can't believe I real that whole thing expecting something different.
  12. I was so confused I had the sunfish out of the water before it all clicked and I replayed the scene.
  13. I got out and went to an old haunt. The creek I like to fish was blown out, and not easily accessible. While fishing I met a really nice guy. We talked for a bit, he seemed really knowledgeable about the pond inwas fishing. He started to tell em a familiar story about a bass taking his bluegill. I asked him "Are you Jungle Jim?" Sure enough it was. I seen many small bluegill and sunfish attacking my fly I had tied on, but no actual takes. He advised me to use a smaller fly. I was pretty sure I could get bit on the one I had tied on. Before he left he gave me a few of his hamd tied flies. Alas after we parted ways, I tied a smaller fly. I couldn't keep them off. I had a great day, I caught more fish today in one day than I ever had before. Nothing of size, but fun on the fly rod. Here is a true fishing story. I set the hook on a sunfish, about 15 feet from the bank. I'm stripping him in, all of a sudden, he got extra jumpy. Then big splashing happened. A catfish tried to eat my sunfish. I didn't get a good view of the catfish. I took a picture of the sunfish wirh the damaged scales. It was definitely a first for me. @Jungle Jim, it was nice meeting you, thanks for the flies.
  14. Seems simple enough. Interesting backstory to the title.
  15. If I may ask, are you dead sticking the wooly bugger for carp, or retrieving it? I've tried a handful of times and know exactly where they are. No interest.
  16. Glad to see more people becoming conservation aware. It is a very debatable subject, but the more we understand where we are, it helps to guide were we are going.
  17. I had to look up the fly, it looks really neat. Might have to tie one or 2.
  18. I've yet to have two on one lure.
  19. Excellent video. The materials were clear and easily understood. The methods were easy to follow.
  20. Excellent information. Thank you.
  21. I gave an honest try on 3 streamers from the winter fly swap. I was not successful. I tried @Ham's Seagar minnow, @BilletHead 's minnow?, and @budman 's wooly bugger variation? Sorry I could not remember all the names of the flies. I hooked up with Ham's with a sunfish but it got off. I had chases with the other two, but no takers. I tried in a local creek, there are bass but it is pretty well pressured in this small area I can access. I did have sucess with a goofy fly I tied. San Juan style worm with hackle wrapped around it. And a micro pink marabou tuft.
  22. That's a great idea. I guess I'm ahead of the curve. I got this at the fly shop, but they are available online. https://www.lilleysriverside.com/shop/Apparel.htm
  23. I fished this pond a year or 2 ago. Tiny pond. I wasn't even sure it was fishable. It is ultra low, and the fountains and waterfall are not on. I still wanted to try it out. Had a little time while the kids were swimming. All on flies I tied. Lost every fly in trees this evening.
