  1. I know of a creek with good acces and many grass carp near St Louis, but not St Charles area.
  2. Well, I guess catch and release worked. I was thinking it was from a bird by the title.
  3. @Al Agnewseems to be familiar with the rolyalex canoes. I repaired a Fiberglass Gheenoe with a bondo kit from an autoparts store. It worked fine. But, as mentioned some materials don't play well with others. It may create more problems than solutions if they don't mate up.
  4. I always enjoyed the song Imagine. I don't really follow the life of any of the Beatles or much of their history. I do appreciate alot of their songs though.
  5. What is a CC Jon? I understand it's a Jon boat, but not familiar with the CC. I have no experience with a jet, although eventually I would like to get one.
  6. I'm so far 50% catches. I've fished 2 times. 1 fish for the year, new years day I believe.
  7. Even a jet plane wouldn't be quick enough to save you. Flew in and out, rode a cruise ship between islands, and rode busses while there. Pretty neat experience. Even rode on the inflated tubes of a Zodiac with twin 150s along the pacific ocean. That was a neat but scary ride.
  8. I can only say keep at it. I am south of you in Festus. I haven't been able to get to the creeks, my local pond has a dock I can fish off of, and my only catch was on new years day. Busch's has a great reputation, but I've never really left there feeling like I made a great decision to make the drive. I prefer streams to lakes anyhow. Keep your head up, we have a few members out your way, and west along I-44 They may have additional information.
  9. Gotta do what you gotta do.
  10. Looks like a fun time @oneshot. Thanks for the pictures. Sorry to hear about the rain.
  11. I really enjoy hot and sour soup, but have never tried to make it. Care to share a recipe, and any tips?
  12. For Google Play, I had to remove KHS to find it. Only found it with search terms Guide Diary. Hope this helps someone. Neat idea and program. Thanks.
  13. Mine said "retried" not "retired". Nice try buddy. LOL 🤣
  14. That looked like a lot of fun, and anxiety. That bridge scene was pretty cool. I was really thinking you were going to ride through.
  15. I asked a supermarket employee where they kept the tinned peaches. He replied, "I'll see" and walked away. After a minute went by I asked another employee the same question, and she said, "I'll see" and walked away. In the end I found them myself, on Aisle C.
  16. You guys are doing it right. Enjoying the hobby. I follow a YouTube fly tying channel. The host ends each video saying, Fly tying is supposed to be fun, if you're not having fun, your doing something wrong.
  17. Nothing special. Just store brand refried beans. Usually sold in the taco section in a can. I used a small silicone spoon to spread some of the refried beans on the chips.
  18. Well, today's update, we finally replaced our van. 6 and a half months after the accident. I've been slowly trying to get comfortable to drive.
  19. Pulled Pork Nachos inspired by Duane Doty from Taneyfest's dinner. Nachos with a spread of retried beans, layed out on a cookie sheet. Top with cooked pulled pork, then add shredded cheddar cheese, bake for about 5 minutes at 350. Top with black olives, onions, etc. Yum.
  20. Can I join? LOL
  21. Man!! I feel like a hoarder now. I could relate to just about every description mentioned. LMAO. Great visuals guys. I really laughed out loud a time or 3.
  22. In St Louis city, they were always considered rats with wings. They are usually found in the trasier areas of the city. I enjoyed watching them play about, but never considered housing or keeping any. I always appreciated the purple shine they have. I don't understand the need or benefit, but I always thought it was neat.
