  1. Sad news, but thank you for sharing with us. He was a very friendly person, and will be missed in the spring.
  2. I tried to order another one, but those prices shown are for the tool kits or replacement parts. Sorry, seems to be some bait and switchtype advertising. They are still very cheap prices, and may interest someone. I haven't used mine yet but expect to have an honest review and opinion in a week or 2. I plan to turn a few micro bobbers, and maybe a topwater bait or two. Along with a more uniform micro rod.
  3. I've caught bluegill and bass in my local creek on them.
  4. So, I've bit the bullet and got a mini lathe. I just wanted something to turn segments of bamboo for the thread to secure the cylinders where the pieces insert. I tried a tumbler spinner from dollar tree. I was not impressed. It was only 5 dollars, but it turned very very slow. I found a mini lathe on Amazon. I decided to get a spur for it as mine did not include one. Long story short, upon searching AliExpress they have mini lathes for ULTRA CHEAP. I have no interest or affiliate with them, but thought I would share. I have bought stuff from AliExpress, and they are generally very slow to ship, but they have really cheap prices. I paid 45.00 for my kit. It did include a miniature table saw blade with it.
  5. I will be tying "Black Ghost Streamer" Stock photo from Jackson Hole Fly Company's website.
  6. I've subscribed to him for a long time. He is from Illinois, hence the 618 area code. He uses extreme thumb nails and crazy titles to generate views. He may not have understood the law ot limits. I enjoy his content. It was a strange coincidence that mic posted in close time frame of when the video came out. i though by the description given it was the same location. I've never been there.
  7. Glad to see you got out and found them. Also happy to hear of quick recovery.
  8. You know the rules. I really wanted to catch a minnow species, but as you can see by the crutches behind me and my awesome posture, I am not up to going far. My wheel chair was just behind my wife who took the picture. Come spring, I have a few locations to re visit, and a few places I've kept for future use. Now its time.
  9. Congratulations on meeting your goals. I like her hair colors. I did that when I was younger. No regrets. Hair grows back. Even got my tongue pierced before it was mainstream.
  10. I got to go fishing for the first time this year. The first time since the accident over 4 months ago. I built my rod, and used it today.
  11. I believe there were more recent New Year gatherings.
  12. I would like to join one. My skills are far from quality, but it would help me alot if you all gave me a chance.
  13. Happy new Year Straw. Always glad to see you post.
  14. I've been a fan of Jim Beam Honey for a while. Found it during the covid shutdown. Had some last night, I'm losing my desire for it. I'm late to the cinnamon party and am leaning toward Fireball and Jim Beam Fire. Really good mixed with Dr Pepper.
  15. That would be neat to see and hear.
  16. I would really like to participate in this, but gonna have to miss another one. NYE is special to my wife, she WANTS that new years kiss at midnight. I hope this turns out, the weather seems to be on a warming trend.
  17. I've followed this channel for a good while. Even have a couple cans of his seasoning. He posted a video that uses a hair jig to catch frogs. Pretty fun looking.
  18. Next time you fire up the smoker, drop a couple of whole russet potatoes in there. They are great.
  19. Your thoughts sound logical.
  20. Merry Christmas Ranger, and all of OAF. I hope Santa and the elves were able to satisfy all requests this year.
  21. Here, I thought it was a grain.
  22. What an awesome story. I think most people actively on here know of Duane. But Blake, as you found out, is quite a nice guy as well. I've used his guide services twice now on Taneycomo. Just call Lilley's and they can set you up.
  23. I don't own any, but @gotmuddy does. His are on pedestal feet (chairs) not anchored. I left my phone on the seat while folded. The chair was not strapped down as we weren't going far. We were on a curvy road, with decent hills on the eleven point river. My phone on the seat was still there when we reached the destination. I was very impressed and surprised, because I didn't realize it was not with me till I found it.
  24. You must get the premium ice cream.
