I have always felt I got my values from my permits. I know of places to take squirrels and have the means. Just never seem to make time. I thought this would be my year. But got reeled back in to Scouts, and seem to have taken the duty of taxi driver to my 15 year old son. I am almost free. Lol

Small game and fishing license is only 6 or 8 dollars more than fishing alone. I haven't went out for small game in a few years, but I always get them together. I like to have the option always available. I always get a trout stamp also. For less than a movie and popcorn, I can go out as many times as I want for fun in the woods and water within seasons.

I am not very fluent in fly lines. What would these be used on? Size of rod, style of fishing etc? I need new line, but don't know how to purchase it.

Cool. Never seen that battery. I've built 2 LiPo batteries, but I want more power. Going to build them twice the size.

Light and twist of the wrist come into the equation as well. Many YouTube videos have thumbnail images that are deceptive in this fashion.

Looks really good @Bassin4funI understand you are trying to keep the pwm waterproof, but they are notorious for overheating. Did you add any vents to your box? The switch box looks really good, as does your wiring. Hopefully you get long use of it. Curious about your battery. Bought or built? I'm building a couple.

Coast guard warning
Daryk Campbell Sr replied to Dutch's topic in Tips & Tricks, Boat Help and Product Review
I'm glad they did. They are trying to be proactive and warn people about potential issues with gas that could cause problems to boats. It seems like they are doing exactly what we should expect. -
Good report. Thanks.

Please post it here. I would like to donate to fun fish it. I kind of made a leading statement that I would attend one to DJ. Gotta stay a man of my word.

I had some gar take the bugger Saturday morning, but could not keep them on. Kind of best of both worlds. I didn't have to remove them from the water and got a good fight on the fly rod.

Maybe have a strong rope attached to the ceiling joist above your toilet and bed. It will give you something to hold onto and assist in getting up.

First Attempts at Tying Flies

Playing with the flies I tied. Nothing on the fly rod and wooly bugger. Got this white bass on the Clouser minnow. It broke off of my ultra light rod on the bank. I tied it on the fly rod with no success. An owl did come to see what I was doing.

Why is Peter Pan always flying? Because he is from Neverland. I like this joke, because it never gets old.

2022 first catch
Daryk Campbell Sr replied to Daryk Campbell Sr's topic in General Angling Discussion
Here is my first fish on my own tied fly on a fly rod. Fun to catch. Tried to retrieve it without the reel. Didn't work very well. It was kind of funny to see I would imagine. Pulling it in, then letting line out to use the reel. Caught this one also. Same wooly bugger. -
I really appreciate this thread. I have a cheap Cabela's setup. Just started tying, and am trying to learn as much as I can, but the lingo is still quite a bit. Well, most of us know an indicator is just a bobber. But why weight forward line (WF)? Or (DT) not sure what that means. Why double tapered? What does that mean? Tippett is leader, right? When to use? Why? Would you use the tapered leader? To what diameters? Why/whynot? Just some of my questions. Fly fishing does seem pretty easy to pick up, but also very intimidating. Thanks for all the help.

My FB marketplace no longer shows me used boats. Just cast Iron. Lol we are in force looking BH. -
I was really hoping for a report. I truly am appreciative of this organization and any like it. I have been blessed by many organizations growing up, and want to say thank you to all who volunteer time and experience for those who attend.

I was worried about your vest activating while climbing around there. Good job.

So, I would have never went to this state. I am not afraid of spiders, snakes, crickets, tornadoes, floods, earthquakes or any other typical fear of nature but one. This state is known for such horrifying natural circumstances, and even has a National Park named after them. My wife has life long wanted to go. I have life long not wanted to go. But, she gets what she wants. I will always try to make it happen. While this was not the typical way many on here care to fish, or the fish most commonly targeted, it was pretty much my only opportunity. So I took it. Yes, it was cane pole fishing off of a tiki dock. In a stocked pond /lagoon with tilapia and carp. They feed these fish with pellets and only allow you to fish with dough they provide. And only off of this dock. The fish swam right on through the baits as if it was a mine field. Some interested fish would watch as I tried my best to keep the dough on top, to try to imitate the pellets. Weather was great, and I did conquer my fears. Sincerely, FISHLESS in Hawaii.

Glad you are still participating with them.

The amphicar, or amphibious car, is an attraction you can pay to be shuttled on. They have one on the landing with rates. Tiki Hut, well that is neat looking, I think.
