  1. Please explain the gorilla tape and pool floaty. Seems self explanatory, but I like life hacks. I do hope someone is there to help when you are in need.
  2. Jim, I appreciate your updates. This was my "home pond" as a kid/teenager. I was very impressed with the color of it a few years ago vs when I fished it regularly.
  3. Just wanted to see if anyone has one laying around. I can buy one new, but I'm looking for a deal. I want a foot controlled motor 45 lbs or above.
  4. Kind of hard to nail it down. Maybe as John said, next time put it in a tank so the fins are extended. We may be able to identify it then. Preliminary results are Southern Hog Sucker.
  5. I am fishing for me. I have no idea what records there are, really don't think I care. I would definitely want to measure, and photograph my large catches, but again, that's for me. I will be happy to brag, and the picture would be proof. When I was a kid, there was a commercial with two old men in a boat on a lake. They were fishing for "Bubba", he seemed to be the legend of the lake. At the end of the commercial one was hooked on a fish that was towing the boat across the lake while one of the men were yelling "BUBB-AAAAAA!!". Am have spent my fishing life looking for Bubba. I hope to never find him. I love seeing people catch and record their catches, I love seeing the records broken. It is just not for me.
  6. It ended exactly the way you thought it would. Was a decent movie, but yes spread out of more than it should have. Oak island, I left it a few years ago, and from what I understand, it still is in the same shape.
  7. Oh, oops Sorry to spread wrong info. Thanks for the correction.
  8. Maybe keep all the non smallies. I believe Phil posted this event asking if anyone from here would attend.
  9. Neat read. Thanks for sharing.
  10. I understand your feelings Bill. No one will change them. I really wish you can find some pride. You now hold a record. The fish being as slow/week shows it was not in its prime. I am saddened that you wish you did not catch it. I understand, but am saddened just the same.
  11. Excellent first fish of the day. Did you guys go back out? Just curious how the adrenaline affects someone after that.
  12. Isn't it funny, we buy a car expecting to keep the miles low, and buy a boat expecting to put on a lot of hours.
  13. Great stuff guys. Good to see people meeting and fishing. Glad to read a good report. Thanks for sharing.
  14. No Kentucky 'bass'... ? (Insert Rimshot)
  15. Nice looking.
  16. Ew, I could smell that. I know the launch point very well. Never gave it any thought. It would be neat to see it from that view. Way too cold for that risk.
  17. That becomes my issue. My feet are very swollen. Just curious if there is an option for customization, without breaking the bank.
  18. I have really bad swelling in my legs, ankles and feet. I wear prescription elastic stockings. Does any company make them larger in the lower areas? I don't fit into the neoprene waders, and my neoprene stocking foot waders are very tight and stretched. Any tips are appreciated.
  19. The numbers stay with the boat. I believe they are printed on the title.
  20. Those look great Gavin. Looks like a relaxing thing to do in spare time.
  21. Hopefully they do great. Maybe we will get a teaser .
  22. We just have to convince them that fishing isn't cool anymore.
  23. Busch's Wildlife is really a neat place. As Moguy1973 said, it can see a lot of people. There are many good reports from there. I was able to fish one of the handicapped lakes as a teenager. One of my better days. The other lakes I have not done great, but I now have a better arsenal.
  24. I use that exact same recipe. I sometimes expand my recipe to the supreme. I add cool whip.
  25. Um, yeah, you sound kinda overqualified for us. But welcome anyway. LOL. Really, welcome. There are a few of us on the St Louis side also known as the "east siders". Not to be confused with the "East Side 7" or something like that. I was born and raised in St Louis City, and fished a few public ponds growing up. They can be fun. Looking forward to seeing your reports. Show us a few Iowa fish pictures. We like fish from all around.
