  1. Me either, but I have caught them on those pesky boat docks he was also complaining about
  2. Thats weird, i think the opposite as far as tournaments. Even in some reports i posted this year and last year, i said that the tournaments weights seem to be better now than 5-7 years ago when i started tournament fishing. Also see more largemouth weighed in than anything the last two years from what ive seen especially around Cape. And He post this on a day where the big bass in the polar bear tournament was 8.11. Took 19 to win on Table Rock today, also 19 on Bull with less pressure and development. While i agree its to busy down there and houses everywhere, he just looks for somthing to piss and moan about for views. If it is so bad to fish why does he go there weekly instead of all the other options we have around here
  3. I just had to replace an idler pulley that was squeaking on my truck. Cheap easy fix
  4. Check out these mounts https://beatdownoutdoors.com/
  5. Yeah i try to fill up before i leave Springfield and usually dont need to fill up until im on my way back way south of St Louis. I just filled up and the computer said 787 miles till empty, so i can go a while
  6. Yeah its an old dam. Ive been told if they generate at the Table Rock dam you can about guarantee they will be at Powersite too
  7. im looking for what they are pumping out of Taney, i guess the Taneycomo tailwaters
  8. This is great, i actually was trying to figure out if they were running water in Taney just last week. IS there any way to get data from powersite, i cant find anything anywhere on the internet
  9. I travel to Illinois for work and over the summer gas would fluctuate 50-1.00 per gallon in 30 miles it was crazy. And it was always way more expensive once you cross the river for MO. Thank god for a company car and card, They actually got me a diesel over the summer. Good mileage but it costs a lot more
  10. Perfect looking rig, doubt you will have any trouble selling it, I would be on it in a heart beat if i could justify it.
  11. How did it go? Everything work on the boat?
  12. Do they still work? I thought you had to spend $25 to get a jerker that works these days
  13. I have livescope and couldnt agree more, Once you find the school of crappie its game on. The bass are much harder to catch with the scope, they seem to be moving targets
  14. Does anyone know off hand what the regs are? I ran a crossed a few yesterday but didn’t have my crappie stuff. Thought I might give it a shot next week.
  15. i follow the different lake crappie pages on facebook and it is absolutely amazing how many limits are taken out and posted daily....not hundreds but thousands. You will see the same guy go days in a row taking pics of their limits. Lots are guides but there are plenty that are not. They must eat fish everyday of their life or have a huge deep freeze chalked full of them
  16. I admire your for it Ham, but that is an expensive list with all the travel for me. I do remember catching a 24" snook when was about 12-14 in Punta Gorda (Grandma lived there) on a guide trip. My parents didnt have a lot of money but they pulled it together and got me a flats trip because they knew how much i would love it.
  17. tried it, fried, baked, grilled, blackened. None of it tasted any good to me. I would love to try someones that swears its good
  18. I do mine on the pellet smoker, baste it with a honey glaze as its smoking a few times. That makes it sticky, then sprinkle brown and turbinado sugar on it. Comes out like a Honey Baked Ham. but better
  19. This might be the most confusing thread in OAF history
  20. Crappie didnt cooperate quite how i planned so i bass fished a little. Didnt last to long, it was cold this morning, Water temp 45.
  21. We will need pics for proof!!!!
  22. Its nothing special its a Lews Wally Marshal 12'. I think it was $59. I couldnt tell much difference holding it compared to the others. Im no expert with the long rod, just thought i would try it out. IT has its place from time to time. This video is interesting how they are using them
  23. I got one last year, they are big and awkward to use. Even a 10" crappie feels heavy on the end of a long rod
  24. I think May is when the biggest part of the spawn happens anymore, at least from what ive seen the last couple years. Im sure getting caught in April mess those fish up though
