    My grandson and I were at the Cardinals game Wednesday night. He was terribly disappointed when they picked someone else for the Uncle Fester celeb lookalike. Roger the sweet spot with whiskey. I'm more careful than I used to be. It's those other guys that you have to watch out for, trust me, I'm good. Usually.

    No. You and that Nevada person (of which I am one) are splitting the bill. I'm just there to make it bigger, better and a lot more fun and more expensive with a big bar bill for all concerned. I'm a peacemaker who likes good whiskey, and in whiskey, there is peace. Plus I kind of resemble Uncle Fester, so I got that going for me.

    Have you ever done any electro fishing? I have. And in my experience, electrofishing in the middle of the river is a waste of time. And that was most certainly not how we did the job.

    Fished them with my uncle on Hunnewell Lake in the early 60's. And cleaned a bunch of bass too.

    You should smell my grandson when he gets home from work. But since he's a summer intern he probably doesn't count. And you should have seen the excitement in his face when he was telling me about searching for endangered species of milkweed - and finding four of them! - when he got to spend the day in the field with one of the do nothing biologists. And came home muddy, chigger bit, tick ridden and poison ivied - just like most days for him. Your rants suck. Because they are wrong.

    Got the seasoning there. I threw that reference in just for you. Figured you had been there once or twenty times. Yeah the Amish thing is interesting. There's a pack of Amish families that are regulars at the Springfield farmers market. Nice people and a couple of those families have some good genetics going - some amazingly beautiful young women. And you know they are not strangers to hard work.

    Nice job on the steak. The whole fresh ravioli thing intrigues me. Also do tell on the nice red. Full disclosure, I had 2012 Simi Valley Russian Reserve Chardonnay with the beer can chicken tonight. It's a high rated wine that I found on major sale. Honestly I prefer Kendall Jackson Reserve though at about half the price.

    You will be cutting off your nose to spite your face. MDC is the worst state conservation agency except for all the rest of them. Keep politics out of their funding and support the conservation sales tax.
