One thing you have to admire about Woody Hayes, whenever he was under pressure, he always kept his temper in check and remained a perfect gentleman, taking the high road at all times.
  3. The third from last photo - the bend in the stream - is now my background.
  4. Nice Chief, makes me lonesome for Wyoming.
  5. One of the best threads ever. A MOST excellent adventure indeed. Keep em coming.
  6. BFD. Passed rolls taste the same and they are SAFE. dtrs5kprs, stand by, I got one of your hooks in my finger last time I went to the river. Can you imagine what I went through getting it out?
  7. I was on the river two Saturdays ago with a couple of buddies. They would just not believe that thing would ever work better than a rebel craw or a big jig and craw but I wound up with 40+ one buddy had 3 and the other zero. Some people have more pride than me. When I see my buddy catch three in a row I want to know what he's using and if he has any more of them. And only ever fish ned with weed guard be it lake or river.
  8. Joe Buck announcing will make me turn off the sound. Cannot stand that little geek. And why on earth did the Cardinals ever decide to have Tim McCarver call games for them again? Like you, I suspect he still holds a grudge.
  9. Husky jerk is a great trout stickbait. IMHO
  10. What troutnut69 said is the deal.
  11. This thread needs a few dead fish trotted over to the pork chop thread.
  12. My current favorite pair of good sunglasses are Amber Ray Ban's - http://www.ray-ban.com/usa/sunglasses/RB4214%20unisex%201-rb4214-black/8053672298895 Like them a lot. Lenses are polarized scratch resistant plastic - super light and so far so good on no scratches. These are really light and comfortable, especially if you have a big noggin like mine.
  13. Russells don't make good boat dogs as a rule. My old dog Bucky was an exception, he loved to go and was very well behaved on the water.
  14. JoeD is right about this one. Good gear extends to terminal tackle.
  15. Great job. Kudos on knowing how to handle fish and for having a good net.
  16. I recently acquired an Australian Cattle Dog for a companion. She's working out great but hasn't been in the boat yet. She's at the age now it will be OK to take her. Behaves very well in the truck so ready for the next step. Love to take my dogs fishing. Had several really good boat dogs over the last 50 or so years, labs, beagle, and JRT. The Heeler will probably be my last one.
  17. I could get you a list of mean things that have been and continue to be said but there's really no point.
  18. No problem with honesty and disagreement. But one doesn't have to be nasty or mean about it is the point, I think.
  19. Same here. Work, or home, hunting, fishing. Good tools are a pleasure to use and hold their value.
  20. Thanks, I have never fished down there but it's on my list.
  21. I tried that but all the spiders carried them back to their dens and ate them.
  22. I'm with you on spiders. Do not like them, not at all. Same way with clowns.
  23. Well, since I happen to own two Patriarch's, I cannot disagree with the reviewers top choice. They really are remarkably light and so far (first season) 100% satisfaction.
  24. I still think it's bad form to run over another boat, no matter how foggy it is or how little the other boat might be or where it was when you ran over it or how much current there was or whether there was a curve or a bunch of other boats in almost the same place. Same way with swamping another boat. But that's probably just me.
