  1. How long have you guys been married? Long enough for Pat to figure out whose idea it really was buddy 😛! Good luck.
  2. I will admit nothing. As Schultz would say "I hear nothing....!"
  3. Not sure that one worked out in the short term. I think I know how it turned out in the long run since I don't hear about her running the trolling motor !
  4. I'm in Flysmallie's camp. I watch too many movies. Since just before I left for and returned from Missouri, I have watched the original Japanese version of Godzilla, aka Gojira (1954), the Americanized version of the same including Raymond Burr titled Godzilla, King of the Monsters (1957), the first Japanese sequel Godzilla Raids Again (1955), and Son of Godzilla (1967) with my daughter since this is one of the more campy monster movies.
  5. Plan on the weekend that most folks can go. I may be able to do the first weekend in March if that is a viable option.
  6. I've had that jam and agree that it is a fine tip!
  7. Congrats on some great fish! Looks like a great fry in the making.
  8. Likely going to have to pass. Guys have a great time.
  9. Seems like I have gone on a few of those sub 20s trips the last couple of years 😁. No issue with frozen lines.
  10. I did see Hud, Rebel without a Cause, East of Eden, No Country for Old Men and many others since this thread went on a hiatus. All very good movies.
  11. You sucked me in to this thread again Ness. It was great to read through the lists and all of these replies. Just watched the 1936 version of The Three Godfathers. Have watched the 1948 John Wayne version quite a bit. Did not realize that movie was a reboot. Then find out that there have been 5 movies based on this same story between 1916 to 1948. I often complain about all of the recent reboots in the movies. Seems like it has been the trend since they started making movies.
  12. Congrats on a great day fishing! Nice walleye on those jerkbaits! Nice fish fry coming from those fish. No ears burning at the Folly house😁.
  13. Congrats Seth! Elk is my favorite venison. As Ham stated that's a lot of meat. Show us some meals on the what's cooking thread.
  14. Gavin - I missed out on this deal. That was a nice bunch of jerkbaits.
  15. I guess that my obsessive micro habit proceeds me 😁. A couple of fish caught on 6# nano.
  16. Hey I resemble that remark ! I love the casting distance and the sensitivity. Also being able to get a decent hook set with a lot of line out (might still be the same with braid). I have some troubles with the leader/nanofil connection slipping or breaking. Caught lots of fish without having the knot break as well. So I keep using it. I do hate the kite effect of the nano during any wind.
  17. Will do. May have to show the kids as Xmas ideas for dad!
  18. @Mitch f and HW I am always looking for a slightly smaller version to fish the small creeks that I fish. I love to get bit and land a fish. I'm sure that i would do well using this size, just get fewer, but probably bigger fish. Keep up the good work and good luck. Let me know if you want someone to beta test them out in Maryland waters. I may know a guy !
  19. Used to catch one or two bats each summer during grad school. Never had such a time like these folks. Now the flying squirrel. That was a comedy for sure.
  20. You don't want to be smaller than a turkey😁.
  21. I hope so buddy. I may have the stripers figured out by then. I can catch a bunch of small ones. Don't have the big ones figured out yet.
  22. This is the third "Jigfest" that I have attended. Pretty intimidated on that first trip. Wanted to fish the White for those trout that I had seen throughout this forum. That was a great trip and I began learning how to fish jigs in current, fish from a boat, etc. Got to meet lots of guys that I read all their posts. After the third trip still learning. Got to fish with a consummate guide Duane on this trip. Lots of stories amd lots of smack talk and Duane catching fish from spots that I just ran a bait through. I get a lot of grief for hanging my baits. Even have my name being used as a verb. But as Duane said clench both butt cheeks and cast as close to the bank as possible. If you hang up we'll go get it. He helped me not only by fishing advice but it was his sculpin pattern that got that first Taney brown😀. I ended up catching a night time brown again using a Duane rainbow scented shallow running baits! Having been around these guys over the last three years has been a great time. Lots of great guys on this forum. I can never repay these guys for their knowledge, gear (family were impressed on the color coded trout magnets😁), willing to share their time as well to help others to get on fish and help them catch and achieve their goals. I have tried to pay it forward when I can. Going to be harder now that I am in Maryland. I have no reason to not continue to be active on this great site that @Phil Lilley has created. Anyone heading out east look me up and we might be able to get you on some fish. Especially if you want to target some of those "other"fish. Also if you ever catch something that you need help with figuring out "WT heck" is this I'll do what I can or ask folks that can help.
  23. Why do I feel that there should be a brushpile or rock structure under that tree😁. Happy Holidays!
  24. You have those crappie figured out! Great catches!

    What's Cooking?

Looks good. Live chicken wings. They started breeding single winged birds to keep them from flying away. Also makes for a meatier wing😁!
