  1. I have been getting ads for new cast iron that is way more pricey than the vintage stuff. Seems to me I should step up my game since it may be time to set up a booth somewhere to sell refurbished vintage skillets.
  2. I don't fish the lake enough to give much advise. But you shouldn't be surprised how easy we get off topic 🤣 Good luck though.
  3. Funny signs quotes. No matter how kind your kids are the kids in Germany are kinder! To whomever took my antidepressants, I hope that you are Happy! One for @FishnDave My friend David had his ID stolen. Now he is just Dav! A man is incomplete until he is married. Then he is finished! I'm here all week folks! 🤣🤣🤣
  4. A woman was knocked unconcious in an accident and ended up in an ambulance. She asks the paramedic what's wrong. He replies that she just has some lacerations on her leg. "Can I see the cuts?""No your leg is in the other ambulance!"🤣
  5. Love that anvil! I need a permanent home to see if I go towards getting a forge and metalworking tools to begin forging.
  6. Wish that I had clear spring fed creeks like those around me now. We didn't get to snorklefish in FL😒.. Guess I better get a go pro and start filming trips. My first microfish were darters. Found a bunch and figured out how to catch them. Then expanded from there. Was microfishing for 6 to 9 months before I ever saw any artiicles or blogs online.
  7. I like Talking rocks. Pretty interesting cave. Lots of steps since it is a vertical cave. https://talkingrockscavern.com/ Smallin Civial war cave has a lot of history. Not that impressive in terms of cave features. http://www.smallincave.com/ The tourist cave has to be Fantastic caverns. More expensive due to coverage of the vehicles. Nice if you don't want to walk the cave. We blew out the bead on one of the cart tires and were stick in the cave for 40 mins until they could get another to pick us up. https://fantasticcaverns.com/ Haven't been to the cave in Silver dollar city. We liked Mystic and Crystal dome caverns in Harrison AR. A bit further south than you might want to travel. https://mysticcaverns.com/
  8. Looks delicious! Hope to find some around us.
  9. We love going through caves. Have been through both Bridal as well as Jacob's.
  10. Thanks goodness for a ballcap and glasses 😆
  11. Fisherman Boats Beautiful Yellow Catfish | Field & Stream (fieldandstream.com) This would be a great reproduction trophy for sure. Just a very cool looking fish and it fought hard - bonus!
  12. Still plugging away 🙂 Livie #98 Silver Perch
  13. Smaller fish but still a lot of fun to catch! Looks like a fun time.
  14. The snouts on those spotted alligator gar look too thin to be an alligator gar and the body shape is more like a spotted gar.
  15. Gar fish for sale - Exotic Fish Shop | 774-400-4598 These guys have a platinum alligator gar. On sale for $1500. Would look good in @FishnDave koi pond😉
  16. I do see videos of places in FL that sell gar and other unusual predatory species. I'm sure that online sales is a big part of their business.
  17. Four-Foot Alligator Gar Fish Caught in Kansas Is First Ever Recorded in State (msn.com) Interesting read. Seems like a purposeful release. Most likely a once and done situation. Looks like he may have killed the fish. They are a bucket list fish for me and maybe some others. I doubt KS will be the go to location for big gator gars in the future.
  18. Actually more likely a pomegranate than a fig.
  19. The ospreys around here really like those golden trout 😉. We have an urban pond that gets a few every fall where I have see the opsreys sit in the trees along the pond before dropping down and picking off a couple goldens.
  20. Hopefully I will be able to make it this year. Someone needs to man the Chuck Wagon if you aren't there. Good luck on that elk trip buddy!
  21. More likely just hyperbole from the author.
  22. I really don't like the smell they make when you brush up against them 🤢
  23. Thought that there were both male and female pawpaw plants. What I found online: "Well, they are definitely not entirely dioecious or monoecious for that matter. Pawpaw are termed trioecious (subdioecious), which means they have separate male, female as well as hermaphroditic plants. Although they have both male and female reproduction parts, they are not self-pollinating. The pawpaw’s blossoms are protogynaus, which means that the female stigma matures but is not receptive at time that the pollen is ready for fertilization. Pawpaws are most often propagated via seed, and their sex cannot be determined until they flower." If really interested check in the spring when they are flowering. Could be that most of the plants that you are seeing are males.
