  1. Hammer, you hammered them. Nice looking fish. Water has a lot of color to it. Mike
  2. Bill, if you had a client, the person is a die hard to go in the weather we had Saturday. If you went just to go fishing, you must have really been mad at 'em. In either case, sounds like there is truth to the story that TRL fishes pretty good when the weather is bad. Thanks for the information. I've found a lot of slime from dam to point 5. Must be the clear water. Mike
  3. How many boats are registered as of today? Mike
  4. And the name of that creek is....... lol Congratulations Mike
  5. Congratulations on the memories you've made. If momma keeps catching fish she will continue to go fishing. Great strategy putting her on the fish. Mike
  6. Thanks for the information. Nice healthy looking fish. Donna, glad you got to try out the mask. Looks like you're talking out of the right side of your mouth. With the water on the rise we will be blessed with floating debris for a while. Mike
  7. kdc, nice healthy looking fish. Thanks for the report. Mike
  8. Nice healthy looking fish. Mike
  9. KFC, welcome to the forum. Hopefully you are coming to TRL for the experience because the lakes you fish in KY can produce great numbers and size. I've fished both for years and my son lived there for about 5 years and really got to know those lakes. TRL around Big Cedar and the dam area is pretty clear water but fish are being caught. Most walleye are up in the rivers but some are caught around the dam while fishing for bass. Brushy creek gets a lot of crappie pressure but you should still have fun. Supposed to be a lot of rain in the next week so it should add water to the pool that is 8' low now. Good luck. Mike
  10. Donna, you might need an umbrella hat Saturday rather than a sun mask. Lou Brock from the St. Louis Cardinals sold a bunch of them under the name: Brockabrella. Mike
  11. Mary and I put in at Moonshine at 12:30 pm and fished til 3:30 pm. We hit 2 coves and found fish in both. Most of the fish were further back than last week. WT was 54.7 to 57.2. Caught fish on the Ned, RC and had a huge swing and a miss on a spinnerbait off the corner of a dock. 2keeper SM and 1keeper LM along with numerous 12-14" of both. Lots of green slime in the very clear water. Wind really picked up so we took the wild ride back to the ramp. Beautiful day to be on the water. Mike
  12. Thanks. Glad to hear it is warming slowly. Fish should be staging on secondary points near spawning areas. Mike
  13. How about a clue as to what area of the lake you will be fishing? I want to stay as far away as possible. Nothing personal though. Mike
  14. rps, really hard to put down the little guy while you are catching fish on it. Thanks for the information. Mike
  15. Huntest, sounds like a nice day with some good catching happening. What WT did you find. Mike
  16. If you want to ease back in don't forget the OAF one bass tourney on April 22nd. The is a thread on here that explains it. Mike
  17. Thanks. Mike
  18. Congratulations to the boys. And kudos to you for paying it forward. Mike
  19. 96, thanks for the information. What WT did you find if I may ask? Mike
  20. We've added your dad to our prayer list. Mike
  21. I've often wondered after I switch to a new color, is it this color? Or is it as simple as there was a fish there and I would have caught it on the other color too? HMMM.... Mike
  22. rps, nice day all the way around. Mike
  23. Well I guess I have to be the odd ball and defend soccer. Having coached both boys and girls to championships, attended many games at all levels including last summers Copa America Cup in Chicago I have come to realize that it is one of the sports where it is you against your opponent. No bat, no clubs, no rackets, nothing but your skill against another's. But I understand how some people feel because (now get ready for it) it is how I feel about golf. But I know many people love the game of golf and I am happy for them. It is just not for me. Anyway, my 2 cents worth. Mike
  24. Muddy & Quill, you guys are on a hot streak. Nice work. Healthy looking fish. Looks like I will have more room in my boat as soon as I remove all those non-fish catching lures and all those non-spinning rods and reels. To paraphrase a march madness term "swish, nothing but Ned". Mike
  25. Randy, I still have some original slider rigs. Mike
