  1. Have you tried the SPRO rats?
  2. Put in at K-Dock yesterday over on Bull. Waited on one at the ramp at 5:45. Had the area mostly to ourselves until 11 or so. Had the boat on the trailer at noon right as there started to be a few pontoons and jet skis. Nothing like to the west though.
  3. MDJ! I'm a fan. Seems like a pretty cool dude. Of course I didn't pick him...
  4. Last Tuesday I found a bunch piled up in the mouth of a little cut by a channel swing, but the wind was just brutal and we had storms bearing down on us. I'd think that any spots like that would be good. Especially if it's close to deep water.
  5. I told you people the other day that I was picking Wheeler. As of this moment I have him in my lineup. Never again with Randy Howell though...
  6. See Bill Babler's extremely detailed report from this morning. It looks like it could be done almost lakewide.
  7. I guess I'm wrong. I used to be in the RV business and a ton of our customers raved about the facilities up there. I think there's a nice campground near the dam as well. I'm pretty sure both the state park and the Nemo campgrounds have dump stations at least.
  8. The state park campgrounds at Pomme are very nice and should be able to handle what you're needing.
  9. It's a long way if you live in Ozark too.
  10. I'm just glad that I'm ahead of Champ still.
  11. I was trying to teach my brother what a soft jig bite was like the other day. I basically told him that every time it felt weird at all to swing for the fences. He caught 3 in about 20 minutes after that. It made me think that I miss a ton of bites.
  12. Honestly, I don't know why I don't just add Wheeler for every event.
  13. Were they thumping the jig, or was it just slack line and soft biting? Just curious because they seem to really want it at times right now, but then it's like a switch and it's over.
  14. I've always like the idea of putting 2 guys in the same boat. 2 90 minute periods. Coin flip as to who controls the boat for the first period. Loser of the flip obviously getting the front in the second period.
  15. Randy Howell is dead to me. Seriously. I'm never picking him again.
  16. I've always been told in every tournament that I've fished that fishing within 100 feet of a commercial dock is off limits. They always define commercial as a dock or marina that has gasoline. At least that's always been my interpretation of the rule. No way that point at POK is off limits for recreational guys and we tore them up there a couple of weeks ago. I've always just kind of stuck to the residential docks and avoided the commercial ones anyway.
  17. 43 feels super old. You guys aren't inspiring a ton of hope here...😄
  18. I feel like most bites come at least shortly after it deflects. You'll have some kentuckies follow it way out and drill it by the boat though. I've never tried a bigger crank like that in a craw color either. Always some kind of shad or gill color. We were out yesterday up the James river and I couldn't get bit on it. I found some good fish off of a point later, but they were crushing a jig so I never went back to the crank bait. It might have been my bait though. I've tried Jenko and 6th Sense deep divers and can only get bit on the 6xd or 8xd. The issue is probably between my ears though.
  19. Interesting. I think I overlook a lot of bass water on that lake.
  20. This was the News Leader's response yesterday. https://www.news-leader.com/story/news/local/ozarks/now/2018/06/18/bass-boats-ozarks-waterways-how-fast-do-they-go-what-types-exist/709979002/
  21. Same. They're not everywhere, but I know of 3-4 spots that I've been catching them like that. The issue is that they're like 35 minutes apart!
  22. I've had some success on main lake points, setting the boat in 25-30 feet of water. The best ones are at the mouths of the bigger creeks, but these points also get hammered. I bomb a 6XD toward the bank and crank it down until it hits bottom. Sometimes it just wont feel right and I'll sweep the rod and they'll be on there. Other times they just pound it. About a week and a half ago we had 12 keepers on the same point doing this.
  23. Have you tried the Yo Zuri Mainline Flouro? I want it to be good because it's so much less than Sunline, but it has a TON of line memory.
  24. What about K-Dock?
