    So full throttle on my Rude? For info purposes. The 40 Merc jet that came on my boat smoked from day one. My rude smokes less than that thing did. It also fouled plugs continuously. Half way through the warranty I bought the Rude with a boat show special 7 year warranty. My buddy even commented that the Rude smokes less than the Merc did.... That is my experience. Although limited.

    I only run a couple miles per hour slower at 4500 rpm than I do at 5100. Get on plane and back off the throttle. Never hurts to have a little reserve power to help steer a river jet either.

    I don’t think I’ll ever get thousands of hours. Typical 4-5 hour trip might have a half hour run time. Now my trolling motor would be the rest of the time.

    Hey @Terrierman I think I’ve said this here before. Push comes to shove and I’ll eat just about anything. Heck I’d eat my neighbors. I prefer the women though. But it’s not pushing and shoving so I’ll finish this strip steak.

    I think you have a good one no matter the brand might be better to stick with it than buy a new one that might not be. Some give years of trouble free service and some are lemons. Even the same model and year. Just my thoughts on it.

    I can’t stand doll eyes. My sons mother in law makes dolls. Her whole living room is loaded with them. We went there for some event and I’ve never looked at her the same again. Freaking nightmare fuel!!!
