Nice and cool and dry. Skeeters are on ya though. Especially at dusk when it's cooled off. Heat seekers! The deer have tore up two forsythias and a lilac bush. Big tracks under the persimmon trees. Persimmons are big.
They found a big timber rattler in a subdivision near me in the MO River bottoms. They had a picture on the neighborhood forum. The nice guy just let it go on it's way. To the dismay of a bunch of mom's in the area.
We use bituminous coatings for pipe piles all the time. Might try calling a Sherwin Williams location for it. They might even have a customer they could recommend too.
I can't even tell you about two armadillos that charged me when I was sitting in the Jonny with the door open at 4 AM at McClellan's one time. Still freaks me out.
You ever have a heron squawk when it's flying right by you in the dark when wading? Scares the crap out of me. Then I think to myself. If he can't see me he could skew my head.
Beavers bother me at night. Especially if they bump into me or rub up against me. Scares the daylights out of me. And the thought that a low flying heron will spear me through the noggin. Other than that...............I'm good to go.
Been using that hook for years on scuds, midges and SJ worms. They work great for carp fishing with a kernel of corn while chumming. The slight twist in them hook fish very well. Use em down to 18.
