In the long run order an end of model year with only the options you want and drive it till it’s dead.
Hard to find low mile trucks at a decent price. usually high mileage and they are out of warranty for a stupid price.
Once they get 100k on em it’s a maintenance and service list you’ll pay for. Everything is worn already.
I sold a Yukon with the same trouble back in 2013. It had 240,000 on it and was nickel and dimeing me to death and when I started hearing that I got rid of it.
3 best things that helped me. Hogwally giving me the ramp at his house and help launching and loading in a river the first time. A whale tail so I can slow down and stay on plane. A John Deere steering wheel spinner.
Yes and yes!!! Haven't run it aground yet though. It has some rash on it and a gouge in the shoe. I love it. I take it out every weekend even if I don't fish. I've even had it out on the Mo River since it's near my house.
I saw jet ski's putting in at the MDC ramp by the dam. Two of them with the water off. A dad and his young boy. Drove right through people fishing.
Been going there for 50 years and it's getting crazy. Not just Taney either. TR is getting nuts. We were parked by the diving bluff waiting for our daughter to jump a couple times. A guy jumps off his boat and starts the back stroke right at us. I kept waiting for him to stop but he got close enough I said "Hey Captain....Don't ram your head into my boat" He looked completely startled and just headed out into the main lake. Nobody on his boat even saw him.
Later at Long Creek a guy is pulling a boy on a tube the kid falls off just south of the bridge right in the middle of the channel. The guy keeps driving and pulls up to the marina and I said "Hey your kid is out the main channel" He turns around with a shocked look on his face and then ignores the no wake area and blows out there to get the kid. NUTS!!!
I had a buddy that went and he got a guide. They dappled live daddy long leger's for trout from a wooden boat.
Report with pics if you get to go out please.
City bears now. Crazy.

There looked to be a weigh in at Long Creek Marina Thursday and every point and cut had boats on them between the dam and Long Creek. I mean there were bass boats everywhere except the diving bluff.
Nice work, Bill!!
Thanks, Bill!!!
My wife thanks you too. Made her shopping for Father’s Day a breeze.
Btw guys. I got one of the used cara crankers from Bill and it looks brand new!!!
