Last time I was at Roaring River I had a nice trout come up and take a bright orange thingamabobber, spit it out, circle around and take it again and this time completely out of sight. I don't think realistic is that important to them.

I met Wayne here and he was a great guy. I didn't get to spend a lot of time on the river with him but had many conversations and heard lots of great stories. He was one of the great ones. I will miss him dearly. Rest in peace Wayne. Love you man.

I don't think we live in an area where we have to worry about keeping ice in a cooler as long as you are smart about it. If you need to get in there every 15 minutes then you need a separate smaller beer cooler. I like my Coleman but they are run $100ish. Plus it is destructible. It has more dents and scratches and a shitty latch but that just gives it character. And it keeps ice for at least 3 days since that's all I've really tested it. I'm holding off on a Yeti till I have a flats boat to put it in.

I love the salt. I usually just end up fishing off the beach in front of the condos though. Not much of a fan of the piers. But it's a blast no matter where you are fishing and you never know what's on the end of the line.

Spent a lot of time there when I was a kid. Special memories on that lake.

I'd have on a floating worm, white spinnerbait and a fire tiger crankbait. Maybe drag some plastic in some key areas. And I'd be fishing from Bolivar Landing to Hwy 83 Marina. I haven't been up there lately but I've been there before and I would be very confident in that.

It is a group of guys that met on OAF and as sort of a joke came up with MFU. It stand for Missouri Fish Unit. It was not to take anything away from OAF or to make anyone here feel inferior. It's just a group of guys that have grown to be great friends and yes there are trips. Usually 3 or 4 a year that are planned and many other trips. I rarely fish with anyone that is not in the group. Not on purpose really, that's just the way it works out. I think we get a bad rap from some but we are just normal guys doing normal guy things. The chances of us raping and pillaging your town are fairly slim.
