  1. I agree that it is. And I would have a problem with one hovering around me no matter where I am. But most of them are just flying by and just trying to have some fun. There is a big community of drone racers in Springfield and I think those are the ones most people see. Pretty cool to watch them get together and race. And the are excellent for adding a different camera angle. I ended up selling mine. Too many whiners complaining about them every time I posted a pic from one. Telling me the “rules” when they really had no idea what the real rules are. But I’ll probably add one to my camera gear again one of these days,
  2. Looks good oneshot. Anybody needs pallets I can probably help you out.
  3. So everyone that flies a drone is a perv? Maybe if some of the complainers had actually used one they would understand it’s a poor tool for that and that nobody is looking into their yard. W eshould take binoculars off the market too. We've had them fly over our house before but lately it’s been a model biplane that does tricks and stuff.
  4. Saw on the news earlier that the were searching for a missing kayaker on Norfork tail water. He wasn’t wearing a life jacket.
  5. Not sure what it is but he better be careful not to let one of the creek whores get ahold of him. Some things can’t be washed off.
  6. I took a couple of my daughters on a short float years ago. As we got closer to the river it got cloudier and cloudier. This was before everyone had a weather radar on their phone. By the time we got to the outfitter it was raining a bit but seemed to be moving through pretty quick. I asked the lady if we were crazy for going floating and she said "I don't know, do you have cash?" And we all laughed. I knew her well enough to know she wasn't going to send us out there to be miserable, but I also know that there is some truth to her response with other outfitters. My wife and I sat by a tough spot on the James last Saturday. Just sat there and watched boat after boat try and navigate it. Most of the stupidity seemed to come from adults. And I mean people 50 and above. The younger crowd and kids didn't seem to struggle with it as much as the old drunk people. You know the ones. Standing up on paddle boards blaring their oldies. Trying to make it through narrow runs with 3 rafts lashed together. (There were at least two ladies that were totally passed out in the bottom of the rafts). Or the self proclaimed river rats trying to maneuver all that while standing in a canoe with a drunk in the front trying to help. There was a group of young kids swimming a hundred yards downstream and I don't think they let a beer can, empty or full, get past them. I'm really surprised there aren't more deaths on the rivers.
  7. Should be like every other river access, closed from 10:00pm to 4:00am.
  8. That’s the way they did it when we were in high school. But it became a huge drunk adult hangout the last few years and that’s when the real problems started.
  9. I’m so happy that it will be open again but I have zero faith that a large majority of people will be better stewards of the access this time.
  10. Was it the Illuminati??
  11. Those are crazy good.
  12. At least three right here. Best spinnerbait ever made.
  13. Hard to beat a deer hair popper or diver. But I sure don't like tying them. I did it long enough to get good at it and then quit.
  14. I have no problems with Amish in general. I became friends with a family of them when I was younger. Jonas Schwartz built buggies down by Seymour, MO. He used to come into a store I worked in and buy automotive paint and supplies for his buggies. Really cool guy and he had this wife that was absolutely one of the best people I have ever met. She brought us baked goods and talked fishing and gave poor old Jonas a lot of hell. Never did know her name. She was simply Mrs. Jonas Schwartz to us.
  15. I also listened to a podcast last week that featured a gentleman that has fished that area probably more than anyone here and he mentioned how bad the Amish are about raping the resource.
  16. They were a strange bunch. Couldn't speak English well. I'm surprised that @Harps wasn't raped in his tent that night. You know those guys were looking to make him squeal like a pig.
  17. I don’t know any of those that aren’t latched onto but seriously you know you or her can call me if she ever needs anything. We might bicker but I’d be there if needed.
  18. Dad of the Year
  19. Meet me sometime at Roaring River during C&R season and I’ll buy breakfast.
  20. Hey Dano! Seeing your avatar pop up was a blast from the past.
  21. Good customer service is no longer a thing.
  22. Nice job Seth. That was great of you to do that and document it so well.
  23. Yeah we don’t want somebody that smoked a joint with a gun but you can buy all the liquor you want with one strapped to your hip.
