  9. Hey Wrench maybe you ought to get a pair of boots. They would come in handy while to listen to the bs stories everyone has on why their boat needs to be repaired.
  10. I had to rescue a 12 year old girl that tipped her yak just above short creek last October. She was 200 yards in front of her group went she went over. It was a good thing they weren't generating but 1 unit. I had a jacket on as it was a little cool, she had a T-shirt on. It was a very windy day which made it feel much colder. She was shivering as we helped her back into her yak. I told her dad that she could develop hypothermia before the reached their take out at Cooper Creek. Those yaks are launched in heavy fog at the boat ramp at the dam and they go right out in the middle and start downstream. I have no idea why one hasn't been run over or drowned in the current but it will happen sooner or later. I hate yaks as most of the people in them have no boating experience ,never wear a pfd , are out after dark with no lights or early in the morning with no lights.
  11. Mr. Babler ,I have indeed fished Rayburn twice. It is a huge body of water.. If you were sitting in Caney Creek and drove across the lake to the northeast to the back of Veach Basin it would be around 17 miles. You can get out in the middle down by the dam and head northwest and follow a compass bearing and never have to deviate to be able to drive in a straight line for 50 miles. This lake is not a riverine type lake like ours are. Lots of big open water. The lake does seem to fish small to me. With all that being said it is a fabulous lake to fish. I saw tons of fish bedding with some rather large ones. .
  12. Not as many bank miles on Rayburn as opposed to Lake Ozarks
  13. I am sure everyone knows Rayburn is 103,000 acre lake. More room for more people
  14. You are spot on when releasing fish the way you do over the water in your videos. I think if you wet your hands before touching the fish there is less chance of wiping the slime off. I really love watching people drag or kick the fish up on the bank and then mess around for 5 minutes getting their camera ready.
  15. Would love to see those trout held with both hands instead by their jaw.
  16. Posting on Ozark Anglers
