Nice finish in the tourney. You can certainly fish that square bill. I don't think I could catch one on a square bill right now even if my life depended on it.

Talked to a buddy of mine yesterday that has Livescope, he dropped a spoon on a small school and they ran from it. He has been getting them on the ice jig though.

Yeah, no doubt it isn't as good as back in the day, but you can still catch fish there. I know a couple of guys that did pretty good yesterday. Blaukat loves to produce clickbait, he'll catch a few more with that one.

Did the ol' launch at daylight and fished until a little after noon. Not a lot of bites, but it was one of those days where luck was on my side and the bites were quality bites. Caught 10 bass, 5 were solid keepers. All were smallmouth except for one spotted bass. Fished the main basin, having the wind blowing into the bank was a good thing. A couple of fish were shallow, but most were in the 15-25 FOW range. Had a couple that hit the swimbait on the fall. 2.8 Keitech on a 3/16 oz head, slow rolled near the bottom caught all my fish. Tried a Ned back in the trees for a bit, but nothing on it. Fished a jerk bait on and off too, but no bites there either. WT 48

I used to fish the Green river in WA, dunno if that was where you were, but that was indeed the river the Green river killer was named after. It never made a dent in how many people fished that river however, it used to be a great winter and summer run steelhead fishery.

I remember when they started up that program. Seems like the top guys were making around $30K then. No way I was driving 5 hours to catch those things for $5 each or whatever it was. So much money is spent on Columbia river salmon and steelhead restoration and it doesn't look to be making a difference.

Mizzou had them befuddled in the 1st half. They knew AR could not make 3's so they played zone and stayed right inside the point line. Coach Muss countered by bringing in Pinion who is a shooter and was able to make some 3's and got Mizzou D loosened up a bit.

8 at most, might be 6. They blocked out a fairly large area at the top of the ramp for no parking, which was a good idea as it could be tough to get in and out with people parked there. With the park being closed, you can also park off the road that is right above the ramp, there is a little pull-out up there right above the lot that is a great place to park and that is where I'll park when I launch out of Eagle Rock. Most of the guys have been launching elsewhere, then trailering in for the weigh-in. I think it was 2 years ago there was another tourney going out of Eagle Rock at the same time we had ours. No permits, so it was a surprise.

I try and forget the stupid crazy stuff I did when I was younger.

Well it was a little closer than that. Arkansas, as usual, down in the 1st half, but came back in the 2nd. 2 weeks from now, Hogs travel north to Mizzou, ought to be a good one.

M&M is applying for the permits. I'll get the official announcement up sometime later this week. Who will win the plaque this year?
