  1. Good going guys, you did a lot better than I did today.
  2. That's great, good to see them up shallow!
  3. You're right, at least in my case. If I'm going to bake fish it is always saltwater fish.
  4. Sweet fish, congrats!
  5. Have not watched the whole thing, but though what I'd seen was interesting. Wild Science Webinar: March 2021 - Smallmouth and Ducks - YouTube
  6. Went on a trip to Ontario years ago, we fried up yellow perch, walleye and pike together. The pike were the best, but boney as you mention.
  7. Speaking of walleye, local Harps had fillets for $11.99/lb.
  8. I cut the red meat out on whites, stripers, and hybrids. Usually when you get into those species you get enough of them that you can cut the red meat out and still have plenty of fish.
  9. Fried Pacific smelt was a thing in Washington state before the smelt runs disappeared. Headed and gutted, deep fried the bones would dissolve.
  10. That's pretty cool, congrats!
  11. Those are some great fish. Maybe they were giving some school kids a tour - "Hey you wanna blow the horn?"
  12. Cool, better the LU than the powerhead.
  13. Nice one! Tons of new houses being built here in Bella Vista too. It got pretty busy here with new construction in 2006-2007, but this is many more times that. New houses sell before they are finished. More pressure on the community lakes here too, I was out today and had a decent morning on the jerker, but had a lot of company.
  14. Sorry to hear that.
  15. Saw more pelicans today than I caught bass, there was this group of 5 cruising around Viney. They had their heads tucked in and the would just kind of cruise around, you can see the little wake they are putting out. Saw another flock of seven of them circling around like vultures. Caught 8 spotted bass, 2 were keepers and 2 short walleye. I don't know why I can't catch a keeper sized walleye or why I catch at least one short one every time out. All on 2.8 Keitechs with one wallie on the Ned. WT 42, but talked to a buddy that saw 48.
  16. Gotcha, welcome back!
  17. RPS is handling the food assignments - I'll ping him. @rps
  18. Here's who I have, I realize a couple of you might not be a definite. Please reply to this thread if you plan on coming but don't see your name as it will help us to get a handle on how much food and stuff to bring. 19. Nope bass only, but you are welcome to bring a big wallie in to show. Are you coming? @Devan S.
  20. Good stuff, that's pretty good to get out on the water a month after your surgery.
  21. Cool, Devan might have a shot at one over at Swepco.
  22. Congrats on a great trip! Isn't that Megabass a "110 Junior:". 😃
  23. OK, give me a holler when you want to go. I haven't fished Swepco in a couple of years, and it does get heavy pressure for bass, but it holds up well. Haven't seen any 8 lbers myself, but netted a 7.5 my buddy Jeb caught. We had a great day that day, our best 5 would've been in the 30 lb. neighborhood.
