  1. I'm going to guess on the translation and go for: "Come to God's House." That is one heckuva barn. Thanks for posting!
  2. Your editor eye is still functioning.
  3. Yep way too much. I'm sure they'll sell out and won't miss me. I'd get no satisfaction watching it.
  4. Nope, I was already alive when that show was running. I know that I watched it, but can't remember any of the episodes.
  5. Did a search on Stones coming to Missouri.
  6. Speaking of old, the Stones are coming to JM's new outdoor stadium. The Rolling Stones coming to the Missouri Ozarks this summer (fox2now.com)
  7. That's pretty neat. Have a great time!
  8. I saw a TV deal on that steamboat. It was pretty neat. The river sure had moved aways.
  9. Good to hear the rain came. Very foggy here this AM,
  10. Welcome to OA! Those are some great fish, congrats!
  11. That's interesting. If you want some for bait, fire up the table saw!
  12. You had a great hot streak!
  13. There will be a free presentation at the Bella Vista Historical Museum on Thursday June 6 starting at 7 PM. More than 300 steamboats sank in the MO and the presenters (Jim and Vicki Erwin) will discuss the natural, technological and military causes of disasters that plagued MO river steamboats before, during and after the Civil War. I realize it would be too far for many of you to drive, but the Erwin's have also written several books, if you are interested but don't want to make the trek. Steamboat Disasters on the Lower Missouri Notorious Missouri; 200 Years of Historic Crimes History Lover's Guide to St. Louis The books are all available on Amazon.
  14. Nice flies. I could see if there is a bunch of them falling in the water the carp would go after them. It would be a great way to catch carp on the fly.
  15. Just some light rain this morning, but possibly more on the way. Nice and cool, was a good morning to walk the pooch.
  16. I'd like to place an order for one that weighs about 10 lbs.
  17. Time to get outside and start your rain dance, there's a big front on the way that stretches from Sioux City south to Shreveport. If it misses you, you need to go to dance class and work on your moves.
  18. The fishing was a little off today compared to a couple of days ago. Not as much top water activity, and the fish were a little harder to find. Bite died around 0900 too. Caught a little over 20 bass, several on top, one on a c-rig and the rest on 3.3 Keitechs. Heard the cicadas for the first time on TR for me, they were in the woods on the other side of the lake from Big M. WT 77
  19. They sell wigglers at the local baitshop. I like them for gills, yeah they are messy, but they sure do work.
  20. Didn't hear or see any on the upper end of Table Rock today.
  21. If I could send you some of the rain we are getting here, I would gladly to so.
  22. Dang, May 28 already, June is closing in. Dutch and I launched the boat at 0530 and motored down to a spot that a reliable source had told me was holding fish. He was right, we started catching fish right away, at first on top on walking baits, then on the 3.3 swimbait on 1/4 oz heads. Fish were relatively shallow, from right on the bank out to 20 feet or so. Lots of shad chasing going on. Had a school of white bass that moved in that covered the area we were fishing with blow ups. We caught a half dozen whites before they moved, Dutch getting a couple of good ones, the biggest of which may have gone 3 lbs. Once we wore that spot out, we moved to another spot, deep water close to a point, and we caught them there too. These fish were over 30-50 FOW, we caught quite a few right off the bottom, and several right at the boat. 3.3's once again. We made one last move, hit a couple of more at the last spot, but the dark clouds with lightning were moving in, so we reluctantly called it a day at 0930. We tallied 55 bass, mostly spots, and the aforementioned white bass. In all the excitement, I buried a hook past the barb in the side of my middle finger. DR Dutch did the line trick and it popped right out. Sure did want to bleed, got blood all over my pants. Broke out the first aid kit, slapped a couple of band aids on it, bleeding stopped, and it was back to fishing! WT 78
  23. That's a tank, congrats!
  24. Did they just show up recently? 20 miles east of me they are thick in the woods. Don't hear or see any at my house and like Rick said, that is not a complaint.
