Travis, You are going to get a bunch of opinions on this topic for sure. IMO if you think you are going to get hot enough to sweat something other than cotton so it will wick. Otherwise just layer for what you would be doing outside at home underneath. We use non insulated waders all of waterfowl season in sub freezing weather and layer according to weather predicted. I personally have more problem with chest area than legs and feet. The way winter is holding on you may be more concerned with what is out of the water than what is in it.
