  1. No Wisc. fish porn allowed here
  2. This was a new tax in 1950 when it was called the Dingell Johnson act and has been amended many times and now is called the Breaux ??? act. If you want to blame somebody its those liberal pinkos who belong to subversive commie front organizations Ducks Unlimited etc. who lobbied for it. Just like all those left wing groups who passed the Design For Conservation 1/8 cent sales tax which was designed to seize private property on streams under the guise of river access or recreational access but really was used as a commie plot after President Clinton was elected to use the land to put Christians in concentration camps down in the Arcadia Valley over to the Big Piney and Current River areas. However Christian Patriots, who made a pretty good living by exposing such nefarious plots in public rallies in the aforementioned areas, exposed this plot After exposure the money was directed back to its original purpose....... and the speakers who rallied the folks went on to exposing other liberal pinko whatever...... I'm just glad Jerry Rapp is here to warn us......
  3. Check out TinBoats.net lot of info for modifying jon boats.
  4. It's not that easy, I've not had a holiday or a vacation for over 15 years.............
  5. I agree with everything greasy B says I had a fishing buddy who used a 17ft fiberglass v bottom with a 7 1/2 hp and it worked great. People who never fished for S Illinois Bluegill have missed some great fishing.
  6. So my back is feeling pretty good the Boaz reading is 3.01 feet flow is down to the mean average. First day of fishing this year coming up ......Wait, .weather forecast over six inches of rain coming .......oh well at least I can think about going sometime soon........I hope.....maybe
  7. Every body should have a pet.......
  8. Walk down memory lane, Sting Ray grub............Tom Mann, Jerry Mcinis, Billy Westmorland,..... and I had a lot more hair......... I didn't know anyone was still making Them.
  9. I remember when we only had 5 channels as a young adult and there was better shows available than we now have with over a hundred channels. Ya, I also remember when we had the only TV on the block and we were very popular.
  10. Color doesn't matter at night as long as it's black..........
  11. "When you get on the whiskey, let somebody else drive" John Anderson I have nothing but contempt for anyone who choses to drink and drive either a car motorcycle or boat. Until we get prosecuting attorneys with some balls this story will be repeated again and again. I agree with Feathers and Fins. Too often you hear some butthole judge or Prosecutor say that this is a good young man or woman who made a mistake, took a wrong turn etc. and should not have their future ruined because of this mistake or wrong turn.
  12. mic just hit the beds this weekend until you wear yourself out and then go back the next day ........etc. Over where you live I'd be looking for beds that have trees shading them. Let us know how you do, I still miss fishing for bluegill up in your neck of the woods
  13. I agree with Wayne.......its a lot easier for me also
  14. Nice, usually found in cloudier water and caught just like those with worms I can't remember catching any on purpose I think they grow bigger than bluegill. I also don't know if those fish are ever stocked in any lakes or ponds.
  15. Holy cow Bill, rain mist and Smallmouth, pictures kinda looked like Sunset country..........Dare ya to throw the Muskie Jitterbug around dark
  16. Here's what I got the news article but I can't send it anywhere so my summary....Jim Evans powers a 3500 sq ft house with solar panels on his roof and in his yard cost after tax credits either $19,000 or $27,000 kind of confusing in the article. But if you google jimevanssolarenergy when the options come up the KY3 site has along with a short story his email address if you want any info about solar power. There also is another TV station link that has a video but not much other info. Hope this helps.
  17. I have not found the article yet but I will. I'll try to log in on the papers webpage tomorrow and get back with the cost.
  18. The Republic Monitor currently is running a story about a developer who is planning a 58 lot solar energy subdivision in Billings MO. They also ran a story in January about a guy and his wife who have a solar house near Republic who pretty well debunks all the BS coming from the right wing wack jobs who are owned by the oil companies. He not only heats and air conditions his house he also charges his electric car with the solar power. I believe his name is Jim Davis. When or if I find the story on their web page I'll post it here. My question about wind power slaughtering all the birds is this. Why do we still have birds? Any one my age can remember windmills on farms when we were kids and I don't remember seeing dead birds under my Dad's cousin's windmill on his farm.
  19. Mitch I agree I have been throwing wacky worms since 1999 and I've never had much luck using the jighead. I think it defeats the purpose I like that bait to fall really slow. I also would not limit myself to senko type worms on a calm day a 6" needle worm can get you a lot of bites and sometimes a tube rigged wacky style can be productive but I have to say that a watermelon candy Chompers salty sinker on a3/0 Mustad Red weedless wacky worm hook would be my choice. Good luck and remember there's a bunch of ways to fish wacky style
  20. I bought %'6" premier ultra light and used it to throw I/32oz jigs on 4lb line loved it cost $99.00 at BPS and I don't fish for small bluegills and this rod handles 10"+ bluegill I think it would work fine for crappie but I have an older Fenwick I throw 1/16oz crappie jigs with
  21. I started fishing wacky worms in the summer of 1999 after sitting in the back of the boat in 2 club tournaments and spending the day with the landing nets I started fishing with a #1 Eagle Claw live bait hook and a Zoom Finesse Smokin' Shad worm. Went to purple black etc and ended up with green pumpkin or watermelon seed. Went to Chompers six and nine inch Needle Worms watermelon seed and dark pumpkin colors. The problem we had on windy days we had problems so we used nail weights to get them to fall. But I'm like OldPlug I like a slow fall. Then we started using Chompers Salty Sinker and the Senko style worms and they all catch fish but I seem to do better with Chompers. I also dead stick them at times if I'm not catching many fish. I really like to fish them around docks especialy the shady back side on a real sunny day but I never pass up a marker bouy in less than 25 ft of water. The last few years I've have been using Mustad Ultra Point Red Weedless Wacky Worm Hooks and Watermelon Candy Chompers Salty Sinker so now I can fish cover a lot easier when I use a ring I use the rubber o ring, I tried elec tape but that didn't work. I guess the wacky worm would be my go to bait 12 months out of the year. I have to say I havn't many big fish with it but have caught a lot of keeper size fish with it. I also fish it with 8lb Trilene XL hi vis mono on a medium spinning rod no matter how clear the water is or how shallow.
  22. Beware of the COUGARS...............and the inbred hillbillys who like to make fly fishers scream like a pig............
  23. Doc Seger put me on to this rig last summer I talked to him the other week at BPS seminar. He does not fish plastic worms any way except with tis rig and he also fishes creature baits with this rig. Doc uses Gamakatsu super line red hook size 2/0 and 4/0 salt water split rings. I modified that by atatching the split ring to the hook and then using a snap from the split ring to a bell sinker and that way the weight is below the bait. It is almost impossible to loose this bait in brush or rocks it just doesn't get hung up. Doc now uses a sinker designed for this rig it is narrower than the bell sinkers. I'm at this time unable to do much of anything "bulging disc in my back so it may be awile before I can try the newer sinker but I don't know that it would be any better than the bell sinker but it probably looks cooler and cost a lot more. But cost isn't really going to be a factor this is the first underwater lure I have used that I couldn't get to hang up to the point that I couldn't free it. If you want to find out more Doc has a website www.docsguideservice.net and is on facebook
