I showed this thread to my wife. She looked puzzled after seeing the >100 K price tag, she said "But, it's a Triton?"

I wonder what the profit on one of those rigs would be. Surely a boat like that shouldn't cost much more than a luxury car with all the bells and whistles to make.

No kidding! A 80k bass boat should absolutely come standard with a radiant deck heating system.

Radiant deck heating would only keep your toes warm, think more elaborate.

Some years ago, Ken Rainbolt and I were fishing below Keystone dam just outside of Tulsa on the Arkansas river. We had caught a mixed string of crappie and whites when the weather turned real ugly. Like me, Ken was an Oklahoma native and we looked at the front coming and decided trying to run away in the car was stupid. We snuggled up close to the dam and watched the front pass over us. The twister skipped off the lake and over the dam and came down about a half mile down stream. In the middle of it was Pier 51 marina and all the boats that had been in slips there. Amazing sight.

I bet no one is having EIGHT TIMES as much fun in an $80K rig as I've had with my boat and trailer that cost $10K brand new many years ago. That was the best money I ever spent.

Anywhere that expensive boat can go, well, I can get there too. Maybe not so fast or fancy, but that's OK. :)

Cost or dollars spent on anything be it a jerk bait or a boat. Depends on the purchaser and there expectation a common line I've heard a million times I should of bought that be it property or a gun whatever. It's a choice and the ability to pull the trigger if it fits your needs and wants plus let's face it a ability to purchase without being a issue for one financially then do what u wish. Now a orange jet ski won't work for me. I'm to old and fat to get on the thing but for some let them have at it.

I'm in the market for a new boat, preferably one that doesn't cost almost as much as my house did though.
