rps Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 If you hit a big batch of morels, mince a few of the smaller ones, mince some ham, and mince a melting cheese of your choice. Blend the three well and then stuff the larger shrooms with the filling. Now batter them and fry. bfishn, BilletHead and Johnsfolly 3

He is a picky eater and watched me fry a bunch up and said he did not want any. I finally talked him into trying one, he took the smallest bite possible and started to put it down and about 1/2 back to the plate he stopped and put the whole thing in his mouth and then ate the last five on the plate. Morels are the only mushrooms that my son will eat. He loves them battered and fried.
rps Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 Beef pot pie with a butter crust. I should have egg washed it, but I was being lazy. tho1mas, MOPanfisher, BilletHead and 4 others 7
BilletHead Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 May not eat a lot during the week but make up for it on the weekends. Yesterday comfort food, chicken fried steak with mashed taters, stovetop stuffing and whole cranberry sauce. Gravy from the drippings. Today sous vide strip steak, asigo fried taters, green beans and sauteed morel mushrooms. Ryan Miloshewski Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 Took one breast of my turkey I shot Friday and my buddy cooked his pan seared turkey with a white wine reduction sauce, Minnesota wild rice and French bread. I've eaten a lot of great wild game dishes, but I am not lying when I say this might be the best I've ever had. I don't think I'll fry a turkey breast again. tho1mas, Gavin, nomolites and 4 others 7 “To those devoid of imagination a blank place on the map is a useless waste; to others, the most valuable part.”--Aldo Leopold
rps Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 Braised sort rib with saffron, mushroom, and asparagus risotto. My lovely wife says it was one of the best meals I have made in months. Johnsfolly, snagged in outlet 3, nomolites and 2 others 5
Johnsfolly Posted May 8, 2022 Posted May 8, 2022 Livie and I made our Mother's day staple, eggs Benedict, for my wife. Livie did the egg poaching this year while I made the applewood smoked bacon, toasted muffin, and Hollandaise sauce. Eggs came out perfectly. Very hapy wife. rps and snagged in outlet 3 2
