He asked what ingredients we would like in our made to order Guacamole. One on the Chinese ladies screamed “AVOCADOS!!!” We went out to eat at a FuFu restaurant the other night and there was a Russian family sitting across from us. When ordering they spoke perfectly clear English in a soft and pleasant manner, but once the waiter walked away they all conversed in highly amplified Russian language.....which is IMO very annoying and unpleasant to listen to. By the time we got our salads eaten I was pretty much irritated enough to throw a chair at them. It was my wife's idea to "go out to dinner" in the first place, so as we left I said "I hope we got THAT $#!T out of your system for awhile. Next time you don't wanna cook just let me know and I'll make us soup and grilled cheese". Mitch f 1
rps Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 As for last night's dinner, I should have added hominy. My bad. Tonight I roasted marinated chicken wings and part of a potato.I added a bit of broccoli. Made a great meal. Nancy baked a batch of chocolate chip cookies. Does it get any better? fishinwrench, Mitch f and Johnsfolly 3

Johnsfolly Posted January 23, 2020 Posted January 23, 2020 Wasn't sure where this fit best - as a reply to this thread or to my own thread about my harvested deer. Decided to put it here. This is happiness in our home - a tray of cleaned venison shanks and a couple of deboned shoulder roasts going into the freezer (once wrapped of course) Bones for game stock. ness 1
MOPanfisher Posted January 23, 2020 Posted January 23, 2020 Leftover night, sort of. Wife requested grilled cheeses, hillbilly style. Warmed up the cast iron skillet, prepped everyone orders, Mom got American cheese slices with black forest ham in the middle and white bread, wife got havarti cheese with tomato/basil turkey breast on some sort of wheat bread that looked it was made from oak leaves but sure made a pretty sammich, then requested in cut in quarters. 😲, I had white bread, havarti and a bunch of roast beef in mine. Add in some mac and cheese with a big handfull of parm and gouda cheese, and left over squash. That polished up and reseasoned cast iron skillet is sweet! snagged in outlet 3 and Terrierman 2
