i repeat the same that i posted on another thread. do you really think this person can drive that boat with the skill needed on a lake as busy as table rock is anymore?? do you think they have a clue where to safely drive the boat?? the answer to both questions is NO!!!!! over the weekend, the lake was as busy traffic wise as any interstate, but how many boat operators were out there that actually qualified to be called a skilled and knowledgeable boat operator?? very few.

bill, i guess you could look at the water coming over into the boat as a free carpet flushing. helps keep the nap of the carpet up. :have-a-nice-day: .

As you all remember from last week, I did offer assistance there, but this situation regardless of the price of the rig was totally out of hand. Human Safety was at issue last week, not today, only foul tempers. You could tell this guy usually got his way and was going to own the ramp regardless. I heard his wife ask him 3 times to let others launch. He told her to "Be Quiet. and do what I tell you."

That is when the Champion guy starting making noise, and he was far from the only one. I had sneaked out on the edge of the ramp using one tire on concrete and one on gravel. I was out of the way, but would not recommend that for others. As been stated I do it everyday.

Another point has been made here. I would not have jumped in that truck nor that boat to try and launch it. Just flat to valuable, one mistake and I'm in big trouble, and to tell you the truth, I know nothing about that type of rig, I would have been as green as he was with an outfit that size.

I had no problem jumping in a 5 year old F150 and backing it in last week to pull out a 10 year old boat that the owner was swearing I was going to tear up by doing it the way I was. Figured I could pay for that if I screwed it up. Could not have paid for gas for the rig yesterday.

Did not see any shooting deaths in the area yesterday, so I guess it sorted its self out.

Good Luck

Lol. Be quite and do what I tell you. I wonder if I could get away with that phrase.

As amazing as it is, sincerely offered assistance is often met with hostile resistance. I try to be helpful when I can, but having been chewed out mulitple times, I wil admit to watching a little longer trying to judge if I will be allowed to help PRIOR to offering.

Tempers were flaring at the take out at Hasty on the Buffalo River 7-4-15. I kept an ee on it as I loaded my stuff up a short distance away. It never got to blows so I stayed out of it. Good Times.

Ok, I saw some pictures. I'm assuming they come equipped with the bikini-clad babes? Because other that that I don't really see what you'd do with it. :D

What they do is take on thousands of pounds of water as ballast to make the boat ride lower and be incapable of going on plane without throwing a huge wake. Then they crank up the loudest music possible - two varieties allowed, country songs about getting drunk and cheating or rap about popping caps and sexing. Once the music is cranked, you put the boat in gear and someone uses a rope to pull themselves and a board into the wake. Most of them hold onto the rope and "surf" in the wake - similar to riding a bike with training wheels. The more talented let go of the rope and "surf" without it. Of course, many can't manage to do this even with a rope and fall down, requiring the boat to turn suddenly and take the rope back to the victim. Meanwhile everyone in the boat screams obscenities at the chap who fell for being so uncool.

After the bloke manages to get back in the wake the boat driver turns to look forward for the first time. His job at that point is to identify and follow the course most likely to swamp other boats or cause damage to boats in slips.

You need to remember that consuming mass quantities of beverages designed to make you stupid enough to enjoy the above is mandatory.

Hey guys, did I leave anything out?

Hats on backwards, otherwise you got it covered.

Unless it's a visor, then remember that look is best served backwards AND upside down

By gosh, rps, I'll give you an A+ on that report. Well researched, well written, etc.

Denny, please let us know how that works out for you. I might try that myself. Operative word there is "might."

Seems like it would be more fun to escort the bikini-clad ladies off the boat and go to dinner and a movie. Or maybe skip the dinner and movie.
