Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted November 4, 2015 Root Admin Posted November 4, 2015 I was going to see how many were in chat - did anyone notice the number? Limit is 50. Did it exceed 50?
gitnby Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 the most I saw at one time was around 7 or 8, but I didn't get in it until after 7:30PM
m&m Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Champ, I agree with you and Flysmallie. Last night was the first and it seems many forgot. I bet there will be greater attendance at the next one. I typically fish around the dam area and last night was able to ask a question about the Big M area cause I read about guys fishing there. nobody gave away secrets but the high level of sharing was very informative. To all the lurkers out there, you should join as a member and reap the benefits of expanded knowledge. Mike
m&m Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Phil at one time there were 13. I was on at the beginning and dropped about 8:15. Mike
Champ188 Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 What we need is more CONTRIBUTING members, not just lurkers with a member name. I've said it before, but last spring's catch-and-kill fiasco certainly tempered the amount of info I'm willing to share outside of PM's with known and responsible anglers. And rest assured, I'm not the only one who feels this way. Far from it. balsabee 1
fishinwrench Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 I dunno. Whether you take them home to eat or throw them in a livewell and haul them to the other end of the lake, the results are the same. Fishing is way less fun overall if you don't talk to others about it. awhuber, Riverwhy, Deadstream and 1 other 4

Winter hasn't even started yet and we don't need to start fighting already. Save those for the snow days.

Lurkers could be anglers who are trying to learn how to catch - beginners - and they won't have anything to contribute. I guess what I don't want to see is members being tagged as lurkers and belittled in chat or on the forum. Hammer time, Deadstream, crazy4fishin and 3 others 6
m&m Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Phil, I think that we can let it manage itself over the winter and see if there needs to be any rules around it. There will always be those who want secret information and don't pass along anything to the others. We will eventually identify those and can manage it. Since a person has to join before they can be admitted to a chat room we can work it out. IMO Mike
Seth Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 I'd have loved to hop on, but I was too busy getting my truck cleaned out and loaded up for my deercation. Hopefully I will make the next one.
