iNlike tackle warehouse they got some things that I do not see otherwise like big bite baits. You keep sassing my favorite outlet wrench and I a going to turn that flock of Pelicans loose on you.

I like the web-store format and thecway it works, but I've been waiting too long.  I ordered last Wed., everything was "in stock" and the UPS truck keeps passing me by everyday.  I was hoping to receive it Monday.

When I order from BPS or Cabela's it is 3 days max.

I order from Bob Marriot's in CA all the time, they get it here plenty quick.   Hell Marriot's is quicker than FEATHER-CRAFT which is right over the hill.

TW might be getting too big for their britches.

I can't speak for Rodmaker, but I can say for myself that what's really messed up is that this nation can no longer put aside its greed and relentless pursuit of wealth for a few hours to sit down and be thankful for what God has already provided. Precious things like our health, food on the table, a roof over our heads, family and friends, and most of all, a Savior.

Even within my own family, it irks me a bit that the Thanksgiving meal discussion at some point always seems to turn to who is going to be in line at 10 p.m. at Best Buy, Walmart or whatever retail giant is opening its doors at midnight Thursday night.

Just seems like an oxymoron for folks to be pushing and shoving, even in rare cases coming to blows, in order to snatch up whatever "great deals" are being offered on Thanksgiving Day. It's a day to be thankful, not greedy! Can't the tomfoolery wait just ONE DAY?

Maybe those working are happy to have the work?

Ill be working on thanksgiving as well as Christmas, its my job and im happy to have it. I knew when I started that it would be 7 days/week more times than not.

Usually it's 5 days to get it here from TW if you go for the free shipping option.  $5 and you can get it in 2 days.

Yep. Not waiting is worth the extra $5 for me most of the time. Eat out one less time that month.

Just received a flyer in the mail tonight stating that Bass Pro Shops will be open all day long on thanksgiving day starting at 8 am! and obviously on black Friday. REI outdoors on the other hand is closed on Thanksgiving AND on black Friday, telling everyone to go take a hike. Sorry, but basspro may have just lost my business. IMHO, I believe that SUCKS! REI will be getting alot more of my business. I will be with my family on Thanksgiving and Friday. I guess you all know where I stand. Thank you for letting me rant and Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. God Bless........... Bob.

Just my thoughts. No harm, no foul. Maybe I just yearn for a simpler way of life. I like to float in my boat with my rod in my hand and enjoy the solitude.

Just guessing 'cause I never go there, but I imagine BPS on Turkey Thursday or Black Friday might be like Roaring River on opening day... concentrated, competitive lunacy. On the other hand, watching football on TV doesn't make much sense either. I lump it all in the same category as golf... never do it, but I'm thankful that it keeps so many others occupied (and off the lake).

I can't dance like I used to.

Dang, Dave, where you eating out that $5 a month makes a difference?!?!  A side of fries will cost that most places!

After the Thanksgiving meal a card game or a board game was next in line. Now everyone is gearing up for the next buying orgy. I worked PT for BP for many years and black Friday was always a favorite day to work to watch the crazy people. Used to arrive at the store around 4:30 and people would be in line already. And in Chicago its pretty brisk out at 5AM. I guess there is real magic in $10 hoodies & jeans. But traditions are always evolving. Now my kids & their cousins meet up for breakfast after early morning shopping. Thats become their tradition. Hard to accept our memories are not what everyone still wants. I never worked on Thanksgiving but plenty of people were who did not have families or welcomed the extra pay. Stores would not be open holidays or even Sundays if people didn't shop then.
