Jerry Rapp Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 or just build your company up to "too big to fail" status, and our government will bail you out with our tax money. Wait, we don't have enough tax dollars, so OUR government just borrows more money($19 TRILLION SO FAR) to do stupid stuff that shouldn't be done. Our government is in very bad shape, but that is just my common sense opinion. magicwormman and Mitch f 2

Yes mr Lilly. He also said somerhing about a fair measure. Seems to me his whole life was dedicated to fairness. I do not see that being done very well either. we were at Taney last summer and. Looking to rent a boat last summer. As it turned out. We did not but you had the lowest rates there. So I complement you on that much. NO BOT is a surprise to me. I thought all social sites had them. I monitored a chat at one time.

Not saying it happens... but over and over is a little tiresome. I honestly don't like to point it out because I feel like the classroom teacher's pet. I was the kid getting swats for using that language... tho1mas, magicwormman and Champ188 3

Wonder why he didn't just say "the poor" and leave it at that? Widows and orphans.... and the poor? Do we take that one literally or not this time? Are we still supposed to help rich widows? How? Rake leaves? Wash their cars and rub their feet?
Bass Enforcer Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Phil I usually don't even cuss. And for that I am sorry that I was a potty mouth. You have always maintained professionalism and i thank you for that. But as suspected I received the negative responses from those who I thought would respond in a negative manner. For instance, Champ.. you were certainly commenting pretty aggressive towards other posts made on this forum telling everyone how you felt about certain topics. (That of which i won't bring back up to avoid that confrontation again) which wasnt me, and i happen to agree with you on that specific topic. But, No one forced you to read them. But you did.... and again i will reiterate you voiced your opinion in a negative way . Double standards I guess. We live in America, a place where one should have the right to be as successful as they wish. Perhaps they will judged on judgement day. However and just as Phil had stated. Just because JM is worth "said amount" doesn't mean he has that much in his checking account. I don't know if he makes significant donations to certain charities. I'm sure he does and they probably are significant amounts. Wrench I do agree to some degree that he should perhaps off set the charity donations with raises to his employees but I can't even comment on that because I don't know how much he pays them already. And then there is the argument about how expensive some of his merchandise is and he should just lower his prices. perhaps that is what he should do. Unfortunately a guy of his status is always going to receive criticism on his success by some people no matter what he does. My intentions weren't to offend people to which apparently I did. It's just aggravating to hear the same people starting drama in a negative light, and shame on me for feeding in to it. I just wanted to voice my opinion. Maybe I didn't do it in a tactful way. magicwormman 1
Old plug Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 I understand where you are coming from because I know where you have been wrench. I would have used the term poor. . But he did say what Phil is saying. He was addressing a specific thing I think. But the poor was what he was all about. Christ was the true meaning of socialism. Socialism today's is a perversion of what it is suppose to be. I will say this at the danger of having my door busted down by the Feds. But in the vein of Christ I am 100 percent socialist. There is a term you will hear a lot today. "Well they feel through the crack" I do not like that at all. People do not understand how everything can work against someone. I was told recently about a lady in the community that was deserted with 2 kids. Some people around here who should surely know better think she ripping of the government. I am sure she could find a Job at. Wallmart. But who is going to watch her young kids? And what does it cost. Well it cost more than the can make at Wallmart to drive to Camdenton or Versailles ,pay a baby sitter and put good on the table. i do not see any crack there. I see the lack us and the American way Andfailure of the government to provide something. people do not like others who are getting benefits. Roosevelt had the right idea. if I was the president I am sure there are enough jobs around to give these Peole some type of work to earn the unemployment. Another thing I would do is go to businesses and say OK if you will give this person a job at the salary at what others are paid. I would pay the bussiness the the differance between. I admit there would be a limit to how long I would continue to refund the money. But there might be a whole lot of people they would keep after it stopped. Also I would be searching for someplace where they might learn a new skill. But for those who really are on the take. I would say hold your hat tightly on your head because when this ends your going to fall through abig crack.

Jerry Rapp Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 the USA can't give those on social security a 1% cost of living? But yet the USA can take in thousands of refuge's? And the VA is in shambles. Old people, down on their luck, live in depressed "nursing homes" while felons and killers get 3 squares a day and t.v. plus exercise time on our dollar. Please. Let's get some common sense back in the USA. Mitch f, tho1mas, dtrs5kprs and 2 others 5

For the record, I don't care how much money JM makes or has in his bank account and I have never suggested how he should spend it. What I have said is that I think he's made a lot of money by making sub-par boats and not standing behind them when they don't live up to buyers' expectations. For that matter, and I speak from experience and not just opinion, some of their store-brand fishing tackle is pretty shoddy, too. Yes, I've taken a stance against killing Table Rock bass. I've made certain to underscore that it's not illegal within limits and that it's only my opinion that we should 100% C&R. Yes, I've taken a stance against hooligan behavior by tournament anglers, many wearing jerseys. I've also stated that it's only my opinion that tournament anglers should do all they can to preserve a positive reputation for the good of the sport. If that's being negative, then I'm guilty and will continue to be. dtrs5kprs and jim hammond 2
