fishinwrench Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 By the way FW, that XP works good on them hybrids. I was roll casting about 40 ft off the corner of the dock. I bet . I built up some courage, called St.Croix and threw a genuine fit, they FINALLY came around and agreed to send me a Legend Elite for a small fee. I do still want that XP but it will have to wait until Spring now unless I sell a boat before New Years. laker67 1
Bushbeater Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Back to the Hybrids and Stripers I darn near got unspooled 3 weekends ago. I saw the fish, looked to be 30 lbs, then he took off about 100 yards and came off. Had 10 pound test on a good reel but there was no turning him. The fight only lasted about a minute although it's hard to say with all the adrinalin flowing. Seth 1
mojorig Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 MDC does stock striped bass into Lake of the Ozarks. They stock every other year at a low density similar to what they are doing on Bull Shoals Lake. I'm not sure the exact stocking rate but I believe it is 1 to 3 fish per acre. 96 CHAMP Posted December 4, 2015 Author Posted December 4, 2015 I sent a e-mail to MDOC yesterday and ask them that same question, I'll let you know when I get a reply mojorig 1

So you're saying that they intentionally stock Stripers AND hybrids ? I'd be real surprised. Actually I would have to see them dump in order to truly believe it.
mojorig Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 We have stocked hybrids and striped bass in Lake Norfork since mid 90's. I was just told about striped bass stockings. I don't know about hybrid bass stockings in LOZ, sorry. Jeremy Risley District Fisheries Supervisor AGFC Mountain Home Office - 1-877-425-7577 Email: Jeremy.Risley@agfc.ar.gov

kjackson Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 OK-- So what is the word on hybrids in Truman? It looks like I'll be licensed up (both me and boat) in Missouri next week, and I really like hybrids....
