Bill Babler Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 It is 4:35 and 26 degree here at the Lodge. There is somebody fishing Clevenger Island. They just came roaring down from the Dam area and slammed on the brakes and started fishing the West side roll off. They must have a powerful mad on at these fish to be a hammering away at almost dark on a wicked cold day like this. Best wishes and a Hot Toddy to ya. Sore Thumbs Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 Could be a Pro getting ready for the Clasic. Buddy of mine knows Jason Christie's fishing partner and they mentioned trying to find a lake with some cleaner water. I'm sure he isn't the only one since all the Oklahoma lakes are high and dirty.
bobby b. Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 I was out yesterday afternoon for about 2 hours until sunset around the Indian Point area. I have a slip at the complete north end of N. Indian so it's easy for me to get out for a bit. Not too bad because the wind was minimal. The shad that were everywhere at 20 - 40 ft for the last two weeks have dispersed. Found some shad and fish at 80 ft. off a couple secondary points but could not catch anything trying drop shot worm and spoon.

I fished 4 hours yesterday afternoon in Bella Vista. Wasn't bad at all. Caught several nice ones on a jerk bait. You might want to consider Geritol or maybe dtrs5kprs could concoct you something to get your blood back to a reasonable manly level. snakem and denjac 2

Bill Babler Posted January 22, 2016 Author Posted January 22, 2016 There at it again this morning. I've already seen 2 boats go by. It's 23 degree here and windy. Sun is out however. I believe its the same boat, stopped again on Clevenger Island in the same spot. He must have tricked one there last night. I haven't grown any since yesterday so I'm just going to sit by this fire and wish them the best. marcus, Bassmod, Muddy Water and 2 others 5 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Quillback Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 Just taking the dog for a short walk this AM was about all the cold weather experience I want today. Muddy Water 1
dtrs5kprs Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 They must be under 40. Once you cross that line 20 degrees and fishing lose a lot of charm. mixermarkb, crazy4fishin and Muddy Water 3
176champion Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 Im thinking 60 degrees before i even hook my boat up to my truck.........and im older than 60....so as you get older the cold bothers you more i have found out. snakem, Muddy Water and slmifflin 3 I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything!
