That fish has speckles all over above and below that lateral line. It also has the pronounced masked lines near the jaw lines/cheek that would be seen in either a Kentucky or Smallmouth. I am sure it is all LM but it's just a beautifully marked one that I've never seen the likes.
Fish24/7 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 I've caught hundreds and hundreds of bass that looked like that.(just not that big, lol) It's nothing special ..really. It's just camouflage. Those markings will come and go, depends on depth and habitat etc. mixermarkb 1

dtrs5kprs Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 I'd have left her swimming, but I also can't fault a guy if he wants to keep what might be a lifetime fish for a mount. Replica would be better, but I get it. mixermarkb, magicwormman, abkeenan and 4 others 7

Flysmallie Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 I don't get having a fish or animal hanging on your wall at all. Plus I'm too lazy to actually clean fish if I do catch one so they almost always go back no matter what kind of fish it is. I have a couple of big bass mounts hanging on the wall in my office that belonged to my dad. Those will be the only two I will ever own. dtrs5kprs and Champ188 2

It's definitely an old school, Virgil Ward's living room kind of thing to do. It was Bull after all. Not for me either. Maybe he swam her later. I've taken some picks on dry land at the resort because I was fishing with Al One, and didn't have a better option. mixermarkb and Champ188 2

From the lake in CA that isn't Bullards Bar (right...).
