I just had to get out of the house and get my daughter outdoors. So I met up with my boy MOSMALLIES and his son George. We just went down to the river down the street and let the kids run around and wet a line. Ended up with 7 bass, 6 on the Mitch Crawl and one on a jerbait. One thing that startled me was the local pos at the access  and their blatant  disregard  for the bass season. When I threw a decent Spotted bass back I thought  this Methhead was gonna dive in the water like a Grizzly  and catch the bass in his mouth....everyone  there was freaking  out every  time I threw a bass back.....it was attack of the fish fillet people. The good thing was these people  couldn't  catch fish in a hatchery, they fell out of the stupid tree and hit every branch on the way down for sure. Good luck to the fish in our rivers geez.

Mitch it was bad....I thought this guy was gonna suggest  I put a bass in his pocket hahahaha.....I told him the season is closed and he said "um that's only for Smallies"..."and really that law is BS if you ask me". So I ask him why it's BS and he said " because the fish are very easy to catch then" to which I said it's  a lot easier  to get meat then isn't  it?....any he laughed and and said "he'll yes it is" and took a massive puff off of his menthol Liggett  and went to his car for a beer

George and I had a blast! Yeah the guy had no clue that bass season was closed. He even had his fish basket ready. When we told him it was closed he said "ahh that's right, but you can still keep spotted bass right?"

Lots of folks out today. Beautiful weather!

Sounds like a good smallie! I've ran into locals like that on fork and the big several times. I can't wait until little man is big enough to go and toss a line!

Great time.  My daughter currently has the same smile.  She just turned 6.
