9 + Pounder Caught Sunday?

Hey guys

Long time reader here but first time posting. First of all I appreciate all the regulars on this site as I have learned a ton of information about Table Rock here.

When I saw this Big Fish blog pop up, I thought this was as good a time as any for a first post.

Yes!! There are plenty of big fish in Table Rock. I have fished this lake now for 20 years, and the last couple years I have seen or heard of more fish in the 10lb class range then I have in a long time. I caught 2 fish in December 2014 that were both 9 plus pounds. I can only imagine what these fish would have looked like full of eggs. I'll try to post an image of one or both.

Anyway, these fish are healthy and they are here. In my experience to catch a giant, it has to come from December to April for your best chance. I don't like to bed fish big

females but I am sure there are some toads on beds during the spawn.

For anyone that wants to know, the pictured fish came from Aunts Creek in December 2014 on a Alabama Rig. The fish I caught 2 weeks later which was just as big or slightly bigger came from Beardsley Creek down by the dam. That fish came on a McStik

Anyway, if you see a white Triton around the dam area or in Aunts, say hey!! I'll try to start posting more since I'm on this lake most every weekend.

There was a Leavenworth club deal out of schooner on sunday. Had a BBC guy fish the rally then fish it.

Anyway, here is the one from Beardsley that was caught 2 weeks later. I was in an all day rain storm and fished a stick bait around docks. Had nobody that I could find on the lake to take a picture so I had to run to Big Cedar during a torrential downpour. That was fun. Anyway, got the picture and put her back in the lake.

1 pound fish: water skates back on fast retrieve

2 pound fish: decent keeper

3-4 pound fish: Nice tourney fish man!

5-6 pound fish: Kicker fish

7-8 pound fish: you just won the Big Bass Bash

9-10 pound fish: you're Big news for 2-3 weeks for the locals

11-12 pound fish: You become a local legend

Anything over 12 pound fish:

They name a street after you!!

That looks like the type of bait I had on my A-Rig.... not the little bass but the other thing
