Sorry for the lack of reports, and lack of specifics on this one. Working kind of a variation on the Ned that is pretty sensitive. If it keeps up I'll go into a little more detail.

Best bite has been shallow for me most of the week. Exception was the day with Ham, post front. Color is changing, guess that could be called improving, not sure yet. Temps actually warmed up yesterday. Had been stuck in a cycle of lose three gain three.

Bite has been good, but very slow. If regular Ned rigging is tedious for you, this version would be a challenge. It is for me. Have been going as long as an hour between fish, but you don't need to measure them.

Some good fish there Dave,  they sure didn't seem to want the Ned yesterday for us, but we really did not stick with it for long either.

Have only had 1 fish on anything else. One 18" brownie on a swing head.

Sorry for the double post. Sent it from Ma's, didn't see it doubled.

Dave, thanks for the report. Nice size fish in the pictures. I'll be looking for the summary of the week's trip and the changes you encountered.

Nice fish Dave! Expect a slow bite until next Wed. That is my prediction, as it is getting close to the real deal.

Might be pretty close to correct. Temps now seem stuck right around 60. The sun has apparently been laid off.

To follow up...we caught them pretty hard Friday. Wind made it a little tough today. Friday two of us had 15+ keeps, about 15# on best 5. Today 10 or so, in the 40 range total. Kicker today was a nice 19 & 1/2" black on Ned. Same basic deal both days. Lots of places we would have fished today were just covered up with boats or wind.

I just love to fish. Glad that you're doing the deal. Putting in the work and being rewarded for your efforts.

Man, I continue to be amazed by how low the water temps still are.  We went to Clinton Lake in Lawrence, Ks. on Thursday and the temps were 66.8 at the ramp at noon and got as high as 71 on the north banks in the afternoon.  Doesn't seem like a lake four hours north should be that much warmer.  At any rate, way to go Dave and thanks for the updates.  We're heading down next Saturday for two weeks and the reports and photos sure aren't doing my blood pressure any favors!
